Need Help Developing a diet

Im trying to develop a diet that suits me and will help with my weight loss.
Here are my stats

6ft1in
250lbs

looking to drop between 30-50lbs. In a dream world id like to get under 200lbs. but 1 step at a time.

Im doing an hour of cardio and weights a day as well

Please help

How old are you? What is your body fat percentage?

I made a post yesterday about my fat loss journey and encourage you to take a look because I discuss weight loss -vs- fat loss.

If you are like me, 50 lbs of fat is doable, but if you are built like a Mac truck, then you will have to lose muscle mass in order to hit that weight target...and that isn't encouraged.

If you want to make a commitment like this it isn't a diet you need, but a lifestyle change. Taking the first step in recognizing it is the first step.

What is your "powerful reason why" you are doing this?

I am 26

I used one of the BMI calculators online it said it was like 34.2 or something, but i am a stocky guy. I was always athletic and its really just my stomach that is the problem.

I want to do this for my overall health and happiness. On the outside I look happy, but on the inside. I dont care what people think, I really dont, this is for me and just me
 
I would trade in that hr on the treadmill for 15 minutes of HIIT. It has proven to be just, if not more effective than an hr of steady state, and better for the heart.

It's pretty much the exact same thing I'd write to you. :) You can't just remove fat from your stomach, you have to get your whole body healthy.
