need help and advice.

Hello, I started weight training last summer, but because of a personal issue i had to stop within a few months.

I am looking into getting back into weight training again. I am currently 20 years old and weighing 160lbs (I'm overweight).

My goal is to lose fat (especially belly fat) -- i know the key is a good diet which I'm working on; get stronger, and get an average sized, nicer and more defined body. I don't want to look like huge body builders.

I am able to work out and go to the gym 3-4times a week because i have school.

I thought bout breaking down my exercises into chest/triceps, back/biceps, and shoulder/legs, and cardio at least 5 times a week (i can do this at home). Is this okay? but i'm not sure what types of exercises to do for each. I did really simple things before and it there wasn't enough variety to keep me motivated.

Can somebody help me come up with a working schedule with exercises that will work for me to achieve my goals? Or perhaps share with me their schedule that can help me achieve my goals?

I tried searching on google and searching multiple forums, but nobody seems to be in the exact same situation as me. so i decided to make a thread.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Do you a 4-5 day split workout....

mon
chest/tri's

tues
back/bi's

wed
off

thurs
Legs

fri
chest/tri's

sat
back bi's

sub
off

Abs every day and you can sprinkle in cardio 3 of those days, which ever days you choose. I would do interval HIIT training as well. If you don't know what that is, let me know.
 
I believe working out by watching videos is one the best way to do exercise. You may consider Work On Demand. Their step by step process of doing exercise will really help you out.
