need feedback on workout routine

hey everyone. Im new to this forum, and hope to be using it for a while. There seems to be alot of knowledgeable people on here.

For the past few months I've been wanting to tone up. I've been using my own method, and have done no past reaserch. SO let me share it with you, and tell me wheter you think its a produtive one or not.

1. 50 push ups
2. 50 bicep curls (10 pounds) In between each set i take a 30 sec rest
3. 50 push ups
4. 50 bicep curls (10 pounds)

5. 30 dips using a chair (triceps)

6. the infamous 8 min ab workout from the 80's.

And so I'll do this routine everyotherday.

On top of this im also a bboy (breakdancer) and i dance almost everyother day. Im just mentioning this incase it might help you guys asess anything.

so once again im wondering if this routine is effective and safe...and anyother feedback you guys would like to share with me

Thank you for your time

What are your stats (height, weight, age, body fat...)? What are your goals? What equipment do you have available?

im 18 years old, 160 pounds, 5'8 not sure about my body fat...
it bothers me that when i dont flex my arms for example I cant see the defenition. so my goals are to see the defenton even when not flexed.

i also want to acheive to some degree other parts of my upperbody.

i only have a 10 and 20 ound dumbells at home

Short term, try doing a more balanced program with the dumbells you have: squat, deadlift, benchpress (or floor press if you don't have a bench), bent row, pullup, military press, 2-3 sets of 15 reps or whatever you can comfortable do with the largest dumbells you have.

Next, buy an adjustable barbell/dumbell set (<$50 for 110 pound set) as soon as possible and continue those exercises gradually adding more weight. Start with 2 sets of 15 reps for the first few weeks and after a few weeks change to 3 sets of 10-12 reps, adding weight whenever you can reach the desired number of reps with good form.
