Yes but not the flavored kind. Buy the plain oats and you can always sweeten them with splenda or sugar free jam.Tomahawk said:I don't really vary my diet on days I weight train. You say eat oats for breakfast. So should I eat quaker oatmeal?

Your diet should be different on the days you train. You need to consume a post workout shake immediatly following your weight training. The shake should contain a fast acting carb such as dextrose and whey protein. Then you should consume a post-post-workout whole food meal, about 1-1.5 hours after, consisting of a clean carb and lean protein such as yams and chicken breast.
Don't buy at GNC. They are way to expensive compared to what you can get online or at "The Vitamin Shoppe". Try ON 100% whey cookies n' cream flavored protein. You can mix 1.5 scoops with 1/2 cup of dextrose (corn sugar) for a good post workout shake.Tomahawk said:Can you please recommend a shake. The brand and so forth. I have no knowledge about these so called shakes. and can I get them at a supermarket or do I have to go to GMC?
