I want to start an excersise program...

Should I spend the money on a machine i.e. Bowflex

Or can I get the same results by old fashion excersise i.e. sit ups push ups

I live in a bi-level I have two sets of stairs about ten steps each...

Would this help me...Should I do slow and steady for longer or fast and hard for a shorter period...

Thank you,
Chan

Do you have a gym in your neighborhood? If you do, I would strongly advise you to check that out first. Try all the different machines before you buy anything. The overwhelming majority of machines that are purchased are used for about a month and then become gigantic paper weights. In addition, the optimal program involves both cardio and weight training.

If there's no gym in your neighborhood, or you can't afford one, then look into exercise routines you can do using your body as resistance. I'm pretty sure you could find one on Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site. .

Machines are crap, avoid them. Free weights are the only way to go.
Their are so many reasons to avoid machines i can not even begin to list them all. Their limited range of motion, their limited amount of resistance, their inconsistent resistance, their overall size and price.

A set of dumbbells and 50 pounds worth of weight (in total) is more affective then even the most expensive bow flex.

I would definitely check the gym out first, just to see what works for you. I am broke, have no room in my house for workout equipment and rarely any time to excercise; so I use a few good sized waterbottles(filled) as free weights, and drink them when I am done so that staying hydrated and getting in a bit of resistance isn't an issue.

I go to aerobic classes 3 times a week for one hour, sauna twice; try to walk as often as possible; swim in week-ends, and still have problems with cellulite…I also use a very good product Hydro-Active Anti-Cellulite Body Milk from Aslaskin every day after bath or shower. I’ve been using it for a while and I must say that results are showing up... :)

There is NO SUCH THING as an anti-cellulite product. sorry to disappoint.

Any changes you can see are from your diet and training/aerobics/swimming etc

cellulite (or fat should we say) cannot be removed with any cream.

It can be removed in two ways - surgically - lyposuction (sorry for the spelling) and be BURNING it - through exercise

thats the end of that.

p.s. even the NAME of that thing makes me laugh! haha
