Need A Professional

I lost 16lbs since jan and I am extremely happy about that.
I dont feel like I have lost any inches though. My clothes still fit and I dont feel slimmer. My boyfriend (Who isnt a professional) says he notices and I am not noticing because I am losing 1 to 2 lbs a week and I am getting used to seeing myself. I just I just want someone to notice. Is losing inches the same as losing weight. If not I would rather lose inches....HOW DO I DO THAT?

I have been reading around the forum and I read what is your pant size and weight and everybody is really different. I could weigh less than someone but wear larger pants and shirts. WHAT ARE THEY DOING?

every body type is different -- don't worry about what others are doing and what size they are wearing.. everyone has different muscle mass, different bone structure, different body fat percentages...

Take pictures every couple of weeks and you will notice a difference...

and get yourself a tape measure and take measurements every 2 -3 weeks...

16lbs is a good chunk to loose but if it's come off proportionally - you might not see a dramatic difference. It took me about 80bs to lose before there was any dramatic difference...

and you really have to ask yourself are you losing weight for yourself? or someone else?

I just want to look good and I am getting very impatient with it. I am so excited that I am losing. I guess I am tired of seeing a tire wrapped around my belly. I want to look good for myself. Everyone I know thinks I look good. Maybe its my self esteem talking to me. Taking pictures is a good idea, thanks

You didn't mention if you have included an exercise program with your new lifestyle eating changes. Have you been working out?
I congratulate you on your weight loss and on making positive changes in your life. In my experience, exercise helps to move along body changes. If you are looking to reshape your body and change your "dress" size, exercise along with diet is important.
You don't have to go to the gym! Just try some moves at home or even in your office. Just 30 minutes a day can have a real impact.
