Sport Need a little critique on my diet

Sport Fitness
Hi guys,

I posted this in another thread but now that I think about it, I would really like some feedback on what, if any changes are necessary. I've been trying to tweek my diet here and there, so this is what I've got so far:

Meal 1 (6-6:30am): 4 egg whites in an omelette with 1 cup of mixed vegetables, low-fat or FF cheese (1 slice or shredded), 1 tbsp milled flax, 1 slice sprouted w/w toast (sometimes i replace the flax with PB on the toast). 8 oz skim milk

meal 2 (9-9:30am): 1 cup FF cottage cheese, 1 small/med banana

Meal 3 (12-12:30pm): Turkey sandwich (2 slice sprouted w/w bread, 1 slice low-fat swiss, spinach & mustard). OR 4 oz lean poultry (chicken or turkey) & 1 cup mixed veggies)

Meal 4 (3-3:30pm): 1 sandwich bag full of raw carrots, celery, grape tomatoes and either a palm-full of mixed raw nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts) OR 1 3.5 oz package of tuna

Meal 5 (6:30 - 7pm): Prework out shake (1 scoop of vanilla whey - 20g protein) with water

WORKOUT TIME 3x's week FBWO Weights(30 min), 2x's week HIIT (15-20min)

Meal 6 (8-8:30pm): 4oz of chicken, turkey, or fish (tuna, salmon, tilapia) with 1 cup steamed veggies & some olive oil/garlic). Sometimes I either bake the protein, grill on a foreman or stir fry everything in a small amt of sesame oil. 8oz glass of skim milk

During the day I have 1-2 cups of coffee (morning & afternoon) with a bit of skim and then 3-4 cups green tea and constantly drink water

How does that sound for a daily diet plan? Sometimes I vary it up with some oatmeal, PB & Whey in the morning or Sushi for lunch but this is generally my normal diet. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!!!

STATS: 25yo Male, 5'10", weight fluctuates between 155-160. %BF ????
GOALS: Decrease %BF w/o sacrificing muscle
HISTORY: Highest weight - 222lbs @ 22yo, Lowest weight - 138 lbs @ 24yo (I started eating healthy and lost nearly 80 lbs but I lost alot of muscle in the process). I'm trying to maintain a healthy diet, fitness balance and a healthy weight

I say you need more protein. 4 egg whites along is only about 12g of protein, and a few more in the slice of cheese at breakfast.

If i were you I'd be gunning for close to 30g of protein per meal as a minimum.

you're trying to lean out? I'd lose the bread. some peopel tolerate bread, some don't. i generally advise to avoid it...assume you don't tolerate it well.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking that my carb count may be a bit too high so I'll see what I can do.

Would it be wise to add more protein to Meal 4 instead of just having the mixed nuts?

As a side note, the only supplements I'm taking now are a multi (2x's a day) and Fish Oils (2x's a day).
