Sport Natural Peanut Butter

Sport Fitness
Well, i went to go try and find some natural peanut butter and came across a large selection.

I ended up buying what i think is natural peanut butter the ingredients label shows it was made with Roasted Peanuts, organic palm made oil, and some salt

Is this Natural peanut butter, or is the organic palm made oil as bad as hydrogenated oil.

I also noticed some peanut butter jars with the OIL still in it

I use "smuckers" and it has peanuts and salt (about as close as one can get to what nature had intended....with out adding in, other earthly products).

But Organic palm oil has near the same fat types as natural peanut butter, and the selection is okay if you like the taste. You ought to try smuckers I love the stuff (LOL). Nat. Peanut Butter......is one of my weaknesses (LOL)------backway......now. LOL

Oil on the top actually is typical of natural PB and does not occur with the processed crap. The Ingredient list of the Natty PB that I by from Pathmark (can't remember the name) reads as such:

Peanuts

Once you stir in the naturally occuring oils from the ground nuts, pop that puppy in the fridge and it will prevent any further oil separation.

You have to try making your own. It is so good when it's fresh.

I get into it so much it doesn't have time to separate. We (and by we, I mean 95% me, 5% my wife and kids) went through 24 ounces in less than a week LOL don't judge me:yelrotflmao:

The one i got doesn't exactly have a lot of oil on top, but it is wet and oily and very smooth, not like hard and rough processed peanut butter.

what exact kind of peanuts did you buy Gooch? and then how did you do it? blender? did you have to add anything?

tell the deal here Gooch man.

oh, and no man is 95% of the family. The lady, mommy, is at least 80. So you can take as much of that last 20% as you want. ;-)

Raw, unsalted peanuts. I get them from Walmart for about $1 for 12 ounces. Take them home and bake them on 350 for 10-12 minutes on a plain cookie sheet (no oil) , remove the skins (the one part that's a big pain in the ass), then put 'em in the food processor. At first you'll think it's not working because you'll have peanut dust, but just keep grinding and the natural oils will come out and make butter.

That's the only ingredient: peanuts.

I don't know what's up with the palm oil. All of the natty pb I've had is just peanuts and salt. It still sounds better than the shelf-stable versions, though.
