Only the forum God can change the names, and only if ithere is a serious reason involving risk of death, mass zombie resurrection, the apocalypse or all of the above.

I think that if people wanted to change names it would cause some confusion. I remember everyone by their screennames, not real names or icons.

When Lei changed his icon I kept wondering why Josie Wales was posting all the time and wondered where the cartoonn fro dude went.
