my weight workout

so i want to start adding weights to my workout. right now i do 30 min of walking/running. im doing the couch 5k since i suck at running. so this is what i have come up with for my weight training.


upper body
chest: dumbbell bench press 3x12
back: seated rows
shoulders: seated dumbbell press
biceps: bable curls
triceps: dumbbell extensions

lower body
quadriceps: leg presses
hamstrings: lunges
abs: crunches

here is a lil info about me if it mattered. im 20. 5'0. 113lbs. looking to loose 5lbs and gain muscle and become more fit. ive already lost 8lbs by watching what i ate and cutting out soda and adding cardio.

I take it you are female, correct?

So, is everything done using 3 sets of 12 reps?

Also, put this into context for me, please. Will you be doing each of these once per week?

Since you are new to weight training, this is certainly a possibility. But don't come to expect these kind of results. In general, losing fat requires a caloric deficit and gaining muscle requires a caloric surplus.
