Hi All.

My name is Inica, or In for short :p

I'm about to start the cohens lifestyle change, I say lifestyle change, because thats what it is.

A little about me. I'm 28. Alot of things have happened in my life, and not to get sympathy or a sorry you conversation going; but i wanted to give a little back ground.

- I was a fit energetic 17-18 year old hairdresser.I would live doing sport, and exciting things. I used to absail, motorbike ride, horseride, rock climb and do at least 3 sports a season. plus work at least 45 hrs a week.
I was 54kg, but healthy fit look, not skinny. In the year 1998 month of july i had a major car accident, breaking my back. (crushed T8 vertebra, ribs, diaphram, sterum, spleen) etc. etc. I was told i wouldn't walk again. To then be told a week later, well, sure you can- IF you can handle the pain. I got up and got moving.

- Had Nose Cancer and cervical Cancer. (still on going thing there- NOTE: get checked and have paps! ) :)

- Married for 5 years to childhod sweet heart. A eautiful little boy 2 1/2 years old ( a blessing) though the little monster is always in pain. Reflux and bowl problems due to being a premie baby. AND therefore up and down ALL night, everynight. (which then kills the back, which then stops me doing things)

I'm now a Beauty Therapist and had enough. I know about food healthy living etc. But with having had depression, weight issues, inmobile other than work and my son. I have lost me.

Me as a person and it's time to take control. so Cohens it is....Next week.

I weigh at least 113Kg.(last check, so here or there) I'm only 172cm tall. I need to do something....

So watch this page.....:blush5:

Semper Fidelis. Never surrender! :flame:

Also, hi. :D

Has anyone here been over 100kg start weight and lost to their goal weight???

Just wondering how long it will take, and how they went.

In, I weighed over 100kgs & lost 36kgs in 28 weeks(10kgs 1st 4 wks, then 4-5kgs each 4 weeks after that). You have a great attitude & I'm sure you will be able to achieve your goals, all the best with it, Cate.

Cate- Do you know if you can have any pain killers? (pain medication) Coedine? or anti inflammatorys?

I'm going to Canberra on Saturday to see the clinic andhave a big chat. If I comit myself 100% and can afford to do it- then I'll start this Sunday or Monday. (After shopping grocerys and working it out).

OK- just Joined up. OMG!!!! so exciting but also scared stiff.

I will have blood test Monday, then start. Though now just watching everything pre cohen's. I was amazed at how much i weighed in with. I never realsied how much- you always think- yeah, I'm big.... But you never really really take it in. or seriously anyway. That number did - wow.

My Mum joined too- more for my sake and moral support. Love Ya Mum xoxo :)

I'm going away for a weekend I've booked for ages. Mum thinks to wait till after the weekend to start fully. I'm not sure what to do. I'm guessing i'll properly ment to start monday the week after test. give or take a few days. which means weekend is right iin that start week or week after....

What do you think- Start after, or start when i get the program and just try to be as carful as i can, but not get too down????

The way i see it- why wait, just means more weeks of weight to get off, and knowing that 3 days might effect the result..Just do what i can.

Or should I wait ????

Hi In,
I would personally wait until after the weekend to start as it is only going to delay your start by a few days. Also, some people experience headaches and some withdrawal symptoms when they commence the programme, it would be easier to have a relatively stress free week for your first week (apart from spoiling your weekend). I understand your excitement to start but commit to this 100% and avoid any deviations where possible.
Congrats on making this decision.

Hi In, I agree whole-heartedly with Trudy. Wait until after your week-end away & then commit 100%. You will then be relaxed about it & rearing to go! I did just that & was then mentally focussed to succeed. Cheers, Cate

Sorry guys. Found another Forum and been sucked in there. (new you) hehe
I'm going to start next week. well, get blood done, then start program after the july 12th / 13th. That way 100% commited.

I'm having trouble finding the right multi- I bought the blackmores women's viatlity multi- to find out a high B5 B6 B12 etc
