My post for an early New Years Resolution

So I've been doing some thinking on this one, and it's sad to say that when I started school, my training has gone out the window. I haven't let myself go or my diet hasn't suffered or anything like that. I've only noticed that my performance or capability isn't what it used to be comparing to this time last year or any time before that.

I don't have a one of those "I'm going to lose 10 lbs by Easter," or "I'm going to quit smoking," resolutions. But, I've decided to start completely from scratch with my training, set short term goals, progressively challenge my body to get back to what I was and much further than that. I do not lack ambition or encouragement, I just lack a schedule or a plan, which is to say, I'll have a back-up plan for the days or weeks that I might miss a session or two. I plan on punishing myself by sweating, bleeding and puking until I know I'm really putting the effort.

oh, and constant lovemaking.

what are you guys new years resolutions?

My New Year's Resolution is to try to keep up with you :D

I'm with you on that one. This entire semester has been weird. It started off with an ongoing back injury that I got right before summer, I got over that and started to squat, then my knee acted up, knee got better and I got the flew, and now there are exams all over the place. Of course, there has been some periods of proper training between all these things, but you know, there hasn't been consistancy and flow, which sucks. I dunno how training will be Xmas, but I will do BW if I can't get into the PL gym in my home town (they don't usually train much around xmas since they are all family people). Anyways, I'm with you on getting it all back together as a new years resolution.

My resolution is not to suffer any injury this next year.
2008-broken ankle playing table tennis lol
2007- torn hamstring from playing on a trampline.
2006- broken arm playing football(soccer).

And i work in construction.

Seriously those injuries really set me back,so next year fingers crossed:D

Sounds like me.

2006: almost completely ruptured the ACL and MCL in my right knee
2007: car accident -- injured neck, lumbar, SI (got T-boned by a flat bed tow truck)
2008: car accident -- injured neck, lumbar, SI (got rear ended by a chick talking on a cell phone)
2008: tore long head of biceps tendon (my fault)

Those were huge setbacks for me. So here's the plan:

2009: No more F'ing injuries.

Didn't we have this thread or one like it a few weeks back? No biggie. Here we go for 2009:

1. Come of all medicine for my blood pressure. Crap, got a little premature on that one. Off all meds and bp just now 122/72. YES!!!

2. Run a 1/2 marathon April 28th in Oklahoma City

3. Achieve a bodyweight where I am happy with my weight, body composition etc. Probably around 190 pounds but only another month or two will tell.

That's it for now. Those last 2 sure aren't happening before the new year so I'm set for 2009!

Man, Canadians can't drive!!! Here I thought San Diegian cannot drive in the light shower. Just kidding. Maybe god is sending you a message to relax at a chair / bed. Want to share mine? :beerchug:

My goal this year, I am not sure. I hit every goal that I set out last year and more so this year is maintaince and continue what I am doing. Getting here is one thing, staying on top is another.

As for school, ya... its a tough on working out. The stress of studying does not help muscle development and the lack of sleep does not help the diet. It's really tough but hang in there!!!

Who knows what god is saying, tic, but if I have a choice to relax at a chair/bed, and you're offering yours, I'd be more than happy to take you up on that offer ;)

I don't make New Year Resolutions.

I am mean, I am friggen nasty, I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, at at time of the year.......and when theirs a life style change, the heart writes the scripts, so I can take may trips, and the mind will steer these scripts in my trips, as I drive the ships to the numerous docking slips.

What ever,,,,,,Chillen.....lol.......:D:azzangel:

Do you see that? No?.......

It's my heart dancing........through out the year!

It gives me many tips, and makes swivel the hips, and I take many trips! :)

I like that sort of high, baby!

Get with it.......make your goals, at any time. Do not be the one post the holidays.......whining........

I won't be. This is for sure.

ROCK ON!

Mine will probably be to post on here a little less

Other than that I want to focus on my diet a little more; a little more education will be needed I think

Why don't you wanna post on here? :p

I do actually have a full time job, and hopefully soon after the new year starts I’ll be a company Director responsible for launching a global data sharing platform right across the world. I really shouldn’t be spending so much of my time telling people to ‘squat dammit’ and ‘you get bigger by eating more’
