My own 90 day challenge

I started unofficially several weeks ago but will start counting from just last week when I really got organized.

I found a pdf file with the P90X schedule on it. I set up something just as crazy but with stuff I have already. For muscle group work outs I use my TRX Pro. Instead of kenpo I use TaeBo and so on...

Today I worked shoulders arms and abs. Tomorrow is TaeBo. I will do some form of exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes every day for the next 13 weeks, with occasional easy weeks in there.

I have already had co workers notice the melting belly and have asked if I am losing weight. I hope that I dont lose weight, just fat. I would like to weigh more due to larger muscles. I am 43 and want to get into the best shape of my life.

I allowed myself to get fat and stopped caring at some point. I used to eat a doughnut from the vending machine each morning and have coffee with lots of sugar. When I got home I always had a beer maybe two. I have stopped all bad habits like those completely.

I walk for 30 minutes at lunch and once DST comes I will ride my bicycle to work for a total of 16 miles per day 4 days per week. I had done that in the past and will shoot for 2k total miles for summer 2010.

I can get back to my normal no-fat body but this time will be different because I want bigger muscles. I am tired of being lean yet somehow not strong.

I will be the first to admit the schedule I have set for myself is ambitious but I figure if people can handle P90X then I can handle a P90X-like schedule. In 90 days, well see.

day two

I did a 90 minute yoga workout today. I feel super now but some of it created a real burn in the muscles. Very good workout.

If you get through the first 21 days without stopping you will have it made. That's how long it takes to build a habit- good or bad. I wish you luck. :)
