My newest forum membership!!!

Lately, I've become an addict to vBulletin forums boards. Since the discover of this medium, I have increased my knowledge of said areas of specialty 10 fold! Whereas brings me here, to this forum. I have always been relativly fit, but I am now striving for more. I'm 5'6", 158lbs, moderately flexible, and with a BMI of approx. 15-17%. I have a 31.5" waist, which is my primary concern. I ahve a higher standards by which I live by, so mediocrity is not cutting it any more for me. Basically, I wanna be able to wash my clothes on my stomach. I am blessed to live in a beautiful state here in USA (CA) with many like minded health freaks, but I thirst for the particulars that only can be discussed and discovered from personal experience. My goal is to fit back into my 30" jeans comfortably in 4 months, and by this time next year have a BMI of less that 10%. I look forward to all the input and knowledge this forum and its members have to offer. Cheers!

Welcome to the forum!

And for future reference, i think you mean bf% (body fat) not BMI. BMI is calculated by height and weight only, and doesn't really mean much of anything.

Welcome.

How come you live in CA but your name says Texan?

Not that it matters, just curious. :)

Born and raised Texan. I will always be a Texan. Couple that with my love for techno music, and it makes a cool online handle that's easy to remember. I've had it for over a decade now, whereas I was in Texas when I made it up.

So how do you like CA compared to Texas?

Frankly, I don't think I could ever live there. Everyone from tx who's moved to CA tells me that people just aren't as friendly, and there tends to be a different mentality.

Welcome to the forum. So you're 5'6" and weigh 158 lbs. You basically have the same measurements as I do. Good luck with your goals.

Friendly people are everywhere. Go to Brasil, they alot more friendly than here. But the mentality of my home state didn't mix well with my beliefs, so I moved to CA when I 1st went to college. I think it's what you make of it. I just don't like rampant ignorant racists shooting up the highways, and yes that really does happen there, at least in Houston. People drive around on the freeways just shooting other cars and drivers for fun.

Born and raised in TX. I'm sorry you got shot at, that must've sucked. I guess it does happen, but I wouldn't exactly call it an everyday thing, of course, I don't live in Houston either - just been there a bunch.

Glad it's not like that at all where I live.
