My name is Ian MacGregor and I am new to these forums.
Years ago my doctor told me to lose weight if I ever wanted to live long enough to enjoy retirement - I weighed 275 pounds at that time. Today I weigh 140 pounds, at 51 years of age, and have begun to lift weights to bring some muscular definition to my now slim frame. My diet for the past few years has consisted of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, legumes and water. I eat meat now and then but I limit myself to lean beef, chicken or turkey.
My current stats - which tell me that I'm doing something right:
Age: 51
Height: 66"
Weight: 140 lbs.
Blood pressure: 112 over 78
Medications: none
Medical problems: none
It's been a lot of work, but it was worth it, I have so much more energy now and I feel really good about myself.
