My Hoodia weight loss journal.....I NEED HELP!!

Okay, I will give a very short history so that you know where I'm coming from...where I've been...and where I will go in the future....

I am 32 years old. I think that I've had problems with my weight since graduating high school. I have tried every diet imaginable....Weight Watchers, Atkins, Southbeach, fad diets, diet pills...on and on and on. Some of them actually worked a little bit but I always ended up gaining the weight back...plus more. You know how that goes.
About two years ago I experienced a terrible break up from a 4 year relationship. I was devastated and went into an awful depression. I couldn't eat. I just couldn't. I could barely get up and go to work. Anyway....I lost 40 pounds very quickly. It was so unhealthy but I have to admit that I loved how I looked and how I felt with that weight off. I actually have managed to keep the weight off for the past couple of years, eating healthy smaller portions and exercising more.
Then about six months ago I went through another very stressful situation involving my son. When I say stressful...I mean, it almost broke me...but it didn't. I survived!! AND GAINED ALMOST ALL OF MY WEIGHT BACK!!! :(

So, here I am. I have researched Hoodia Gondonii Plus thoroughly. I spoke with my physician about it. And now I just purchased a six month supply. I made sure that I got the real stuff because I read about all the scams.

I am going to journal my progress here and I am hoping so much that I meet some people to help me through and maybe be able to help them also. Thank you all ahead of time for your support. I hope to be a source of friendship and support for you also.

Okay, here it goes:

6/5/06

Current weight: 178 (yuck)
Height: 5'7"
Goal weight: 145
33 pounds to lose

I took two Hoodia pills this morning with water at 7:30 am. It is now 11:37 and the only thing I have eaten is a container of low fat yogurt with 250 calories. This is major, because I usually eat breakfast (something unhealthy like a donut or cinnamon roll). I then usually snack constantly at my desk while working....chips, crackers, candy...anything I can snack on. I think that is my biggest problem.
I am drinking my water and no matter how "suppressed" my appetite gets, I am going to eat healthy and not starve myself because I know what happens when I do that. Once I go off the pills, I will be hungry and will not have learned to control my own eating and portions. So, I will watch what I eat, eat healthy foods and smaller portions and just use Hoodia to help me with this.
I am going to take two more pills in about an hour and then two more around 5:00.

Thank you for listening. I am so excited about this and hoping to lose my weight in a healthy way.

best of luck!!! you obviously know EXACTLY what you need to do... I'm an emotional eater too.... it took a long while after I had my baby to start losing weight because my PP depression was sooo terrible that I just had no motivation to get back in shape....
 
Day 2

Thank you all for such wonderful and supportive comments!! That means so much to me.

I woke up in a really good mood today!! I weighed and I have lost 2 pounds!! YAY!! I know thats probably all water weight because I drank so much water yesterday that I thought I would float away, but still.....2 pounds is 2 pounds..!!

I ate really healthy yesterday. Grilled fresh fish and asparagus (my favorite) for dinner. It was yummy. I have also been drinking tons of water. I think thats the key.

Has anyone else had any experience with Hoodia? It seems to really suppress my appetite.

Emotional Eater

Hi One Hot Mama......I sympathize with you completely on the emotional eating. I don't really eat when I am sad or depressed but mostly when I am lonely or bored. I have had a lot of alone time after my relationship and thats when I seem to eat the most. I snack a lot!! I can literallly sit there and eat a whole bag of chips, or pretty close. Its not healthy.
Good luck on your goal. I know you can do it!!
 
Day 3

Well, I don't think yesterday went as well as it should have. I did drink my water but my friend at work begged me to go get a Gyro for lunch. Any idea how fattening they are? All it is....is meat and pita bread with some sauce. It seems healthy enough, but I'm not sure. And then I got home and I was absolutely exhausted and my neighbors wanted my son and I to go get Panda Express with them. So, I got Shrimp with Pineapple and orange chicken. The shrimp was healthy because it was not fried but I know the Orange Chicken was terribly bad for me.
One good thing is that I have not been eating ANYTHING after dinner at night. Usually I would eat ice cream or chips and sometimes I would even eat a sandwich and chips before going to bed. I haven't been hungry at all after dinner. They say that you shouldn't eat anything for 3 hours before you lay down for the night. That way, your body has time to digest it. So, nothing for me after 7:00pm.
Today is day 3 and I took my Hoodia pills this morning. For some reason they are not suppressing my appetite as well as they have the past couple of days. I just took my noon ones an hour early because I am hungry.
Well........I didn't weigh today because I don't want to get discouraged if I lost nothing. SO...maybe I'll have a better day today and I'll weigh tomorrow morning.

Any more news how are you doing??

Reason I ask is that I am planning to do the same as you as of Sunday..Hoodia and everything...

Would be really keen to know how you are getting on!!:D
 
Has anyone else tried Hoodia, let me know how it works
