my homemade, redneck dip stand

i thought this up today when i was doing my push routine. i really love my new dip stand i thought up.
dips today were great. il get picks of my squat rack in a couple days when i do squats again :)

Nice :).....

of course i work out at home lol.
well...if you want to know my history of where i got my weights:

10 months ago i got my first cruddy weight set from sears. 180lb weight set with a hollow bar that holds 160. my friend gave me a standard bar which you see on the left side in the dip stand...but none of my weights fit on it (dang). The weight set was 29.98 brand new...i got a chinup bar from walmart for 10 bux(YEA)then i needed a bench.

me and pops went around town looking for one everywhere when we landed at Target and found one for 45 bux. it isnt half bad; pretty sturdy. it works well

those fudgepacker wegihts lasted me for around 5 months when the weak bar bent when i reached the 160lb squat mark.

it was time to move on. i desperately hit the newspapers, looking in the classifieds for weight sets...when i found an upgrade. it was 300lbs of weights, a curling bar, 2 great heavy duty changable dumbells, and a standard bar(weighs 15lbs) all for the low price of 25 bux. owned.

from there, i have been compensating, trying to find ways to create my own equipment. i first thought of the "redneck squat rack" which has served me very very well. my good ol' little bro helps me get the weights up there safely every time i squat.

and now..the redneck dip stand....mine free.

so me and pops spent around 110 dollars and that got me everything i needed from weights, bars, dip stand, squat rack, chinup bar, dumbells...the works. its been very exciting so far. thanks for listening

oh and i have around 500lbs of weights around my house and i pay for most of it; my dad helps out a bit

Holy Christ you lucky... If I wanted to get all that I would come out flat broke. I might just get my dad to buy me the stuff I need, but atm we have no where to put it :( Besides I have a gym, it's the getting there that's a bum.

If you have a Play-It-Again sports around where you live, you can get very cheap weights and sometimes some really good deals on bars and other stuff. Thats where I got most of my equipment.

Not sure if that place is just a Maine thing, though.
