Sport my food for a day

please tell me if i just killed my diet by eating what i did yesterday...

Breakfast:
Quaker Lower Sugar Brown/sugar and cin. instant Oatmeal
1/2 banana and a few strawberries with about 10 raisins.

Lunch: Low carb wrap (90 calories) with Hummus and tuna salad with Light mayo. I had some watermelon and pineapple with it.

Snack: This is the bad part...we were at a market and they had homemade ice cream....yeah i had some...

Dinner: Filled cabbage...it had rice and ground chicken in it.
as a side dish we had fresh green beans with red onion.

i didn't have dessert since i ate that homemade ice cream around 2:00.
 
I think that looks fine. The ice cream can be one of your cheat meals for the week, cuz you can have up to 4 (so i have heard) and should be fine. The other meals seem pretty good to me too. But hopefully someone with a little more experience on this can help you out too.
 
Yes, I agree with Tony.

Ditch the ice cream and instant oatmeal. Go with real oats and sweeten them with splenda or sugar free jam. Also, i'd suggest adding a couple more meals and increasing the amount of protein you are taking in.

You need to figure out what your calorie requirement is for fat loss, if that is your goal. Then create a diet based on that cal requirement.
 
a few poor food choices like instant oatmeal...as long as the ice cream was a 'once in a great while' thing, then it's just a cheat.

you need a couple more meals, and overall I don't think you ate enough for the day.
 
why is the quaker oatmeal so bad? even if it's lower sugar? how can i add more protein? i eat cottage cheese a lot too...sometimes for lunch with fruit...and i am a big grilled chicken salad person as well...let me know what you think...thankkkks for the advice
 
eat egg whites with breakfast to add protein there.
I have a mid-morning protein shake along with a serving of mixed nuts.
 
Ice creame is not a bad option to eat but make sure eat less, once in 15 days. If the ice cream is home made then ask to use sugar free. In that diet you need to add more proteins that you find in cereals. Eat sprouted cereals in your breakfast.
 
I myself usually eat the regular flavor instant oatmeal, no matter how hard I try I can't eat the oat stuff in the cyclinder thingie, I've tried and tried and tried....Makes me gag :(

Add in cinnamon, honey, raisins, etc, it will be 10x better. Besides, after a while you get used to it, just like any foods on here :D
