My first forum

Good afternoon fellow members,
As the title suggests, this is the first forum I have actually joined. I am, like many others, a yo-yo dieter and exerciser. I lose weight for an occasion/holiday then gain weight, then lose weight for another occasion/holiday and lo and behold gain weight once again. I'm in this vicious circle therefore have decided to test the so called adage "If you change nothing - nothing will change" and this time, rather than go it alone as usual, seek some support.

I know what has to be done (in theory) and can offer weight loss advise like a trooper but just cant get myself out of this cycle. So here's to chatting to you all, hopefully finding people to keep me accountable and finally breaking the cycle and adopting a healthy lifestyle all the time not just for the 3 months before a trip away :)
 
Welcome to the forum and good luck with your efforts.

All the different sections have some excellent pinned threads... These are well worth reading as there is a lot of information there that many an experienced dieter will not be aware of.

I suggest that you check out the challenges and clubs as they can not only be useful for meeting people - but also full of ideas of things to do and places where we can be openly accountable on such topics.

It can also be good to start a diary, visit other people's diaries to see what they are doing and cheer them on, and hopefully make friends who will visit your diary and cheer you on...
