Hello guys, so I'm new to having a healthy diet...for the most part I just tried to lift but this semester I've started to try to eat healthy. I'm 5'6" and i haven't weighted myself in a while but I'm probably 170lbs (so I'm trying to lose weight) So here's a sample of my diet for a day, I'm trying to see what I can keep and cut out/replace. Also I am a vegetarian
4 eggs (4 egg whites + 1 yolk) right after I wake up
1.5 bowls of protein plus special K(10g protein) cereal with a banana and milk
2 slices of wheat protein plus bread (7g protein/slice) with peanut butter (before I work out)
Protein Shake (50g protein) in milk after workout
Wheat Pasta or veggie burger (10-11g protein)
I also just recently went out and bought some tofu and vegetables to make some stir-fry. I also bought some cottage cheese don't know when or what i'll eat it with but I heard it was good to add to your diet.
So I would just like some suggestions on this diet. If you need anymore information about the food I have it all somewhere around. Also would it be bad to drink 2 protein shakes a day.
Last not (I lift 3x a week tues, thurs, sat and run mon, wed, fri, resting on sunday)
Thanks a lot guys.
