My current routine.

Okay, I'm starting a new thread. I'm 15 and want to get ripped. I just started a routine yesterday. I go to my friend's place and do weights, push ups, and dumbels. When I'm lifting, I start with about 10 pounds to warm up, and then do 20 lb, then 30 lb, and continue to my current breaking point, 40 lb. For abs I do that machine where you pull yourself up with your arms and raise your legs parallel to the ground, I'll do a couple sets of 10 of those. Then I do that other machine where you put the weights in the back and then pull down on the handles to pull the weights up, I'll go up by 10 lb every time I do that machine. Then I do the squatting machine, and add about 10 lb every time, and do sets of 20 squats. I do about 2 sets of 15 push ups, which I do last.
Am I doing to much, to little, or am I okay to continue this?

Honestly it doesnt sound to good. Im not quite sure on your descriptions on a couple of things try ExRx (Exercise Prescription) on the Net for the names of what you are doing.

Read the weight lifting stickies as well, do you have someone that knows what they are doing or are you relying on your own research?

If this is what you desire, and then your want-o-meter will have to rise to a new level, and it will take: Time, Patience, dedication to alot of work, sacrifices, be prepared for set backs, and being able to do "What it takes" to get the job done and/or completed.......>Bottom line.

What exactly are you doing here? What exercise?

This looks like (if I read the description correctly), like you are using a ab-roller, is this correct?

This could be the tricep push down or lat machine.....Im not sure though.
If you going UP 10lbs everytime you are doing the machine, your starting weight is fat too light.....from what I know.......thus far.

Then I do the squatting machine, and add about 10 lb every time, and do sets of 20 squats.

The squat machine weight is far too light if your adding 10lbs each time, and the reps are to high.

I do about 2 sets of 15 push ups, which I do last.

Where do you train? A gym I assume?

Your workout does need some tweaking and/or an over haul. Its NOT the best it can be.

Best regards,

I work out at my friend's basement. And that machine for abs I do is difficult to explain. You are standing up, you put your forearms on these things, lift yourself up so your feet are hanging, then raise your legs so that they are parallel to the ground. It's REALLY hard, but I like it.
Can you tell me what some good tweaks would be?

If you want to get buff.......lets carrying this conversation to your NEW journal.......: Make a thread call it: I want to get buff......or something, in the men's journal section.........and in this journal you can provide your diet, and training, and ask questions, and it will be in one place.

I will then ask some more questions because Im not quite satisfied with your routine (outside of the leg raise exercise, as this is a good one to have). In addition I have other questions I want to ask

Make it and I meet you over there.........
