Seeing that I'm still fairly new and don't know a lot of people, I was just wondering if anyone that belongs to this forum are musicians? I've been playing guitar since I was 8 soo....11 years and everyone once and a while I try and learn an new instrument. I'm also a singer. I come from a big music family and my dad, a banjo player, used to travel all over the US playing at festivals before he meant my mom.
Instruments I can play to date:
Guitar
Bass
Dobro
Mandolin

Some Banjo
Piano
Drums

What do you play?????

Violin, not so good at bass (guitar), but I can play it a little, same with piano. I'd love to learn chello though.

Started the violin in 4th grade, so about 6 1/2 years of playing. :)

I sing, A LOT,

and play the piano, and some guitar, though I'd love to learn something like the Sax, or a fiddle. :D That would be cool, but I just don't have the time. :(

have uke, will travel

Hiya,

I am a musician also. I am addicted to Ukuleles and own 20 or so. I like them so much thats what my website (link below) is all about. I like making movies and entertaining in public. I also sing and play harmonica. I am trying to learn to play a little piano and possibly some traditional Chinese instruments. Its kind of funny really, being such a big guy most of my life, somehow I was attracted to the smallest instruments. But ukes and harmonicas are highly portable which makes them just that much more fun and have been an invaluable tool in my teaching.

oooh, I've always wanted to learn how to play the harmonica...somehow, I never got it. :D

"being such a big guy most of my life, somehow I was attracted to the smallest instrument"

A lot of the times I come on this forum before bed and usually it's the crummy days, like today and somehow, someway... somebody makes my night. That above statement is not only the funniest or coolest statements I have ever read in my entire 19 years of life but! it also paints a very hilarious mental picture. So for that, fat and thin, I salute you!

That's awesome Xorie! What/Who do you like to sing?

I take voice lessons, and my teacher likes to make me sing classical, broadway, country, and jazz.

I like country the best, and I can sing it very well, then comes broadway after that. As long as it's not rap or really poppy pop, I can handle it. :D

very cool, very cool.

I used to take voice lessons with a man who did 8 years in phantom of the opera. GREAT guy. I love country...I'm more of a rocky type singer...I really belt it but I enjoy acoustic stuff best. I love writing my own music. I wanna be a producer and audio engineer, that's what I am going to school for!
