Muscle Milk + heavy workouts

I've read a lot about Muscle Milk and peoples resistance to using it due to high sugar/fat contents. I've found the exact opposite results in using it, however, and I'd just like to share my own personal experiences.

(if you don't care about my workout, then skip the next rather lengthly paragraph)

I tend to work out twice a day Mon-Fri (An hour each time, HARD workouts), once on Sat, and rest on Sunday. My morning workouts occur at 6 a.m. and are mandatory (being in the Army) and tend towards bodyweight exercises, 2-6 mile runs of varying speed, and ultimate football. My evening workouts are some lifting (medium weights and 5-10 reps), a 2 mile sprint interval program, heavy bag hitting, some fat burning on a heavily inclinded treadmill (simulates ruck marches, burn about 500 calories a workout), and I've just started a planche program as well as some burpees. Right now I'm doing more sprints/burpees and other exercises because I'm starting to feel some pain from the lifting (It's been about 8 weeks straight), so I'm taking it easy on the lifts. When the gym with the pool re-opens I'm going to start doing swimming twice a week, as that's one of the best exercises ever.

Needless to say, I work out hard and often. Before I started taking the stuff, I wasn't seeing many results. My routine has been about hitting the fast-twitch muscle groups in an effort to sort of correct my mesomorph-ness as much as possible and up my metabolic rate. I was sore a lot.

After using the stuff, I've noticed a lot of muscle tone popping through. My waist and tummy have started to shrink, even though I haven't changed my diet much. I'm also not even close to being as sore as I was previously, even though my workouts have intensified in the last few weeks.

I'm getting more and more cut, which is something a lot of people said would never happen with the stuff. And on top of that, I'm both the heaviest I've ever been with a waist the size of me when I was the lightest I've ever been in my adult life. (I'm reaching 225 pounds now, and my waist is the same size as it was when I was 179 pounds).

Great stuff, keeps me fueled like a mofo.

MCT/LCT and casein protein are great IMO, just not for a PWO shake. Congrats on your progress though.

Yeah they do a great job of keeping me energized through even some nasty workouts.

Thanks Hoss. Not quite at your level yet, but I'm workin on it.
