Sport Multivitamin Question

Sport Fitness
Does the brand of the multivitamin really make a difference at all?? i found an equate bottle (wal mart brand) of multi vitamins today and they seem to have just about everything anyother one would have...so i dont see why brand name would matter but if it does someone please clear it up for me

Yes.

Lesser quality vitamins come from cheap sources, don't break down decently in the stomach, etc.

I'm thinking of switching to liquid vitamins.

Exactly, so just because the bottle SAYS it offers 100% of your daily Vit.C for the day, doesnt mean that your body will be able to utilize ANY of that.

Like I said in my other post, I recommend Standard Process vitamins. It's a great company and the vitamins are top-notch. Contact them and see if you can order straight through them, otherwise you may need to order through a doctor or health practitioner.

alright thanks ill check it out :)..but in the mean time if i were to buy centrum would that be good enough? i dont really have all that much money im tryin to find a job right now

Nope you'd be waisting your money. I work in a lab doing blood work on people and analysis on the break down of food/nutrients into the body. From every person I've studied, Centrum contains no benefit to the human body.

damn ok haha..well is there any particular type of vitamin i should get from the site you showed me..seemd to be a few different kinds

if its just a multivitamin you want, then get Catalyn. Anything else would depend on your needs/deficiencies, etc.\

to read about it, go to the home page, click on the Literature tab, then click on Standard Process and then Catalog, then scroll down on the alphabetical chart to find it.

To make it easier for you I have copy/pasted the info here:

Catalyn is a multiple vitamin, mineral, and trace mineral concentrate formulated by Dr. Royal Lee in 1929. Catalyn is the antithesis of the “mega-dose” approach to nutritional supplementation. Dr. Lee summoned the whole of his considerable nutritional experience and know-how to provide a nutritional catalyst, a supplement using whole food ingredients which he named Catalyn. Dr. Lee’s goal was to provide a food-based package of nutrients in the most potent and bioavailable form – its natural state.

Proprietary Blend: 832 mg
Defatted wheat (germ), carrot (root), calcium lactate, nutritional yeast, bovine adrenal, bovine liver, bovine spleen, ovine spleen, bovine kidney, dried pea (vine) juice, dried alfalfa juice, mushroom, oat flour, soybean lecithin, and rice bran.

Other Ingredients: Honey, magnesium citrate, glycerin, arabic gum, ascorbic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, vitamin A palmitate, gelatin, cocarboxylase, riboflavin, and cholecalciferol
