multi vitams, which ones suck

ok, i used to be on GNC until my 40$ bottle ran out....yeah so we have this centrum crap. im pretty sure its crap. but, incase its not crap, can someone tell me if it absorbs any good? should i maybe take a few throughout the day? compared to GNC vitamins, a few through out the day ( keeping in consideration the absorbtion ) probably still wouldnt equal the %.
 
Hey, All multi vitamins pretty much suck. Hard tablets have an absorption of 20%, capsuls of 30%. The only way you can win is in liquid form with 98% absorption. I don't know any vitamins out there in liquid form but, I'd recommend taking what you get in a multiple vitamin individually because a multi vitamin only gives you the minimum of the vitamins that you actually need. I'm no expert, but that's my two cents.

would crushing it up in a shot of liquid kind of make it a liquid vitamin? maybe? anything larger than a shot would mean having to take several sips of the vial ****. but yeah, would crushing it up make it absorb better? i would imagine
 
i have a regular chewable multi vitamin for teens, im thinking about finding a new one cause i used to jsut take fist full of every type of vitamin which made my pee nice a yellow and this one just isnt doing that, thats how i rate how well a vitamin works on how yellow my pee is and i drink like 15 liters of water a day so if its still yellow i know its working.
 
yeah thats what i was thinking. my pea for sure isnt as yellow as when i was on GNC, especially on a regular basis.
 
i'm not an expert either but i thoroughly believe you basically just pee vitamin pills away, they have a very very low absorption rate. balancing your diet works better, IMO.

i wish there was a pill out there that worked though.
 
Typically you're centrums and vitamins that you can get at Walmart would be extremely difficult to crush short or a hammer. There are quite a few that are food based, you can break apart with your fingers, and digest a lot easier.
 
to test a multi-vitamin, drop it in some vinegar. should be pretty dissolved 15-20 minutes later. i dropped a 'one a day' and to my amazement, it was actually breaking down pretty fast. so i guess thats a half decent brand. but there so weak compared to GNC.
 
Ok, check this out... along time ago (start wayback machine) in my younger years of "experimentation" I may have dabled in taking pills (for health reasons of course!).

The "glue" that is used to hold pills together is what takes so long to breakdown inside of you. This means that if you want to get your money's worth, you will either crush it (it's not that hard to do with a little practice) and injest it, inject it, snort it, or... well no one wants the other option.

Since i'm sure you don't want to feel like a junky getting a fix, injecting is out too.

Snorting will give you quick, strong results - but is not recomended for longterm use.

So to answer your question, yes, crush it, mix it, and swallow it. I hope my past experience is of some use to you.
 
yeah, i was thinking the same thing. crush it up, and put it in a quick shot of liquid, or when i get some fatty acid oil, just shoot the whole vile concotion down at once.
snorting a vitamin, your crazy man ;)
 
uhh iuno. i just know without taking a vitamin, i wont get 100%, or even near as much as i get with taking the vitamin. plus vitamins get up into 500%, even up to 5000%. foods cant, and dont. everybody is better off with a multi vitamin. in fact, its impossible to get all vitamins and minerals from eating just food. chromium, molybdenum, biotin, panthoenic acid, selenium, copper....iuno if ive ever read a food label that had those in there. but...yeah. well maybe copper, but im not even sure
