Ok here it goes.. Todays Sept 25,2005. I currently weighed in at 163 today after walking on my treadmill for 55 minutes and stripping down to nothing before I got on the scale. LOL.Thats the only way I will weigh myself. I do seem to gain a pound or two during the day. I cant believe what a downer it is when I weigh myself at night.I know that its only natural that you will weigh more at the end of the day but it still gets me down. So anyways I decided that I AM going to lose weight and get into better shape on June 24th 2005. I was sick of getting up in the morning and feeling crippled. I believe I weighed 192 that day. So Ive been watching what I eat and trying to excerise more. I have three children.Two boys 18 and 16 and one daughter who is 15. They are all skinney and in great shape. They play just about every sport out there. I guess Im sick of just watching them play and sitting on the sidelines knowing that I cant do it. We ski & snowboard alot in the winter and I pretty much just sit in the lodge watching. Oh yeah I take my occasional run every once in awhile but am scared to death that Im going to brake something. So I guess basically I want to lose weight so I can be in better shape. I want to be active again. Also wearing clothes that are in style would be a nice thing. Oh yeah and one more thing Im 40 years old this year and I think my body is feeling it. I will post my food in a little bit gotta run down stairs to do some more laundry. Any advice is greatly appreciated and I will have many many questions.
 
MrsB! congratulations on all of the weight that you have lost so far!!! You are doing wonderful, and you have alot to be proud of! And now you are taking the next step to find a group of people who can be there to support you who are going through the same struggle... way to go!!!

I TOTALLY know how you feel about weighing yourself... i do it first thing in the morning.. well, after I have used the bathroom and all of that, so I can get everything out of my system before I step on that scale! hehehe... it's funny what our little rituals are! =)

good luck, and I can't wait to see what kinds of healthy food you are eating!
 
Sunday Night

Ok feel bad cuz this is my 1st entry into my journal. Youll see what I mean at the end of the days calories. LOL

Breakfast:eek:ne egg 90 calories
2 pieces low calorie wheat bread 70 calories

Snack: 1 choc rice cake 60 calories
1 apple: 50 calories I think

Lunch: turkey sandwich on low calorie bread 120 calories
Snack: 1 vanilla yogurt 110 calories

Supper: Ok I eat chinese food every other week. Its my treat to myself.
Who knows how many calories but I only ate about 3/4 of a cup of beef fried rice and 2 terriaki sticks. They were so good!!!! LOL. Oh well back to the grind tomorrow.

Walked on the treadmill this morning 3 miles and after I ate the chinese food I walked another 2.25 miles.
 
Welcome Mrs. B -- Hey, it doesn't look like you did that bad at all. You might want to up your calories a little during the earlier meals since they are pretty low -- that way you won't be terribly hungry at dinnertime. As for your treat -- I actually think it is great. You couldn't live on a diet where you never gave yourself the things you want. Also you can always do more exercise the next day to make up for it. Anyway, glad you joined. This is a great place to find support.
 
Monday 09/26/05

Had to work this morning but I didnt have to give the kids a ride to school today cuz my oldest son had to go in early today. YEAH! I hate having to drive in the morning. It just messes up everything. LOL. So lets see got up and ate my breakfast with the kids:
breakfast: Kashi heart to heart with skim milk 150 calories total
walked on treadmill for 3 miles
went to work:
snack: 2 choc rice cakes 120 calories total

Lunch: my usual turkey sandwich Just one little piece of turkey and 2 pieces wheat low calorie bread 120 calories

snacks: yogurt 110 calories, yup its the one with aspertane, Ive gotta find one I like without the aspertane
apple: 50 calories?

Supper: we made cheeseburgers and small salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers. a tiny drip of italian salad dressing, not even enough to really taste it. LOL.

7:00 P.M. walked on treadmill again for 2 miles.
Ive really got to find some different foods to eat but Im really picky. I dont really like veggies. As a matter of fact I think its safe to say that I hate veggies. LOL. Oh yeah I really dont like water either but I did manage to drink about 40 ozs today.
Also drank about 20 ozs of diet pepsi. Again that nasty aspertane but Ive been hooked on diet pepsi forever. I have cut down quite a bit though. Used to drink between 2 and 3 liters every day.
 
Tuesday 09/27

I am feeling so emotional today. Not sure why but I hope it goes away by tomorrow. Fought with teenage son today about cars. Wow teens are so hard sometimes. They are so head strong. They just dont want to hear what you have already experienced in life. Phew. I think I just answered my own ? about why im feeling so emotional. You want to do everything you can for them but yet you want them at some point to learn how to fend for themselves. Ok. Well Ive got that you so anyways. Woke up this morning and did only 2 miles on treadmill.
Breakfast: Kashi Heart to heart with skim milk
Snack: 2 choc rice cakes
Lunch: Turkey sandwich
Snack: Yogurt and apple (went apple pickin w/niece and nephew today
Supper: 1/2 cup left over beef fried rice and a sliver of a piece of pizza. Not a very good ending today.
Then walked another 2 miles on treadmill tonight. Walked at 3.5 miles per hour tonight. Thats really pushing it for me. But it felt good to get some of my frustration out. Surprised you all couldnt hear me pounding the platform on the treadmill. LOL. Tomorrow Ive got to eat more veggies. Maybe I'll eat some carrot sticks or something.
 
tomorrow lookin for a new mp3 player

Do any of you use a mp3 player to exercise with? I have a 128MB iRiver right now and the screen is messed up. It also doesnt hold very much music. Looking for a 512MB. Anyone have any preferences? I think Id like one small enough that has a clip on the back so I can put it on the waste band of my pants. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Well thats it for tonight. Going to bed its been a long day. Night
 
plateau

Hello everyone. sorry I havent been posting much lately. I was just wondering why I havent been able to lose any weight in the last 2 weeks. I seem to be stuck at 160. I started walking a little extra each day so I walk between 4.5 to 5 miles total each day and I still am only eating around 1000 to 1200 calories. Im still huffin and puffin on the treadmill. It definately isnt to easy yet. So any ideas would greatly be appreciated. Im feeling kind of depressed that Im still doing quite alot and not eating any junk and not losing. Look forward to reading any info. Thanks Donna
