Does anyone else ride? Me and my Boyfriend both ride [thats how we met]. I own a Kawasaki ZX6R and he owns a GSXR1000. We are both starting to get into track riding but im waiting to lose the weight before I go and blow 1K on a track suit! HA.

Just wondering if anyone else rode motorcycles?

I want to get a cruiser but the wife is scared I will kill myself. i even thought of getting the kawasaki 250 just to ease her mind.

I will have 1 by next summer for sure.

I used to, but I can't fit into my leathers :(

I have a Honda CB500, and my boss has a Fireblade (its how I got the job). My soon to be brother-in-law has a Bandit, and his father has an R1.

I used to many years ago. But the person that wears the trousers in my house won't let me because she thinks they are unsafe. Well If I do get to my ideal weight the first thing I will be thinking off is getting back in the saddle again regardless of the consequences :)

The R1 is nice. I rode my friends R1 before... I like the ZX10r the most though [my next bike!]

Yep another rider here!
I ride a 04 BMW 1150RT as my daily driver (about 85 miles a day) and have put 40k on it since I bought it back in late 05.
Now I just need to lose some weight to get the gas milage up :)

My boyfriend wants to get a honda super4 400. Is that right? I never know. I'm afraid of riding and the few times I've tried I kept my eyes closed!:leaving::leaving::leaving::leaving:

Hmm not sure what that is. Im only familiar with sportbikes. There is the Honda CBR1000RR, CBR600RR, F4i [old school... well not that old]

Kasey- It's funny that you of all people started this thread. My name is also Kasey and yeah, I ride. lol

I've been riding since April of 05. I have an 05 Raven Yamaha R6 and within the first year of owning it had over 20,000 miles on it... :D I have ridden anything from a 600rr to an R1 and ZX10R down to a 50cc dirt bike and a pocket bike. lol I'm a huge advocate for rider safety (wearing gear no matter how hot it is) I have friends who chose not to wear gear and that was the one day they became disfigured or passed away...

I have done a number of track days and do know how to stunt (in controlled areas). I also helped organize a female rider organization, but haven't had much time to contribute to it lately. I also helped organize bike nights and group rides in my area and am always willing to lend a helping hand when someone new wants to take up the sport. I guess that's it in a nutshell...

Bike mods: Arata slip on exhaust, BMC race air filter, Dynojet Power Commander, GPR Steering Stabilizer, Russell SS Brake Lines, Galpher brake pads, Regina gold 520 chain, afam rear sprocket, vortex drive chain sprocket, vortex mirror block-offs, various windscreens, Greg's custom turn signals, Hotbodies undertail, matte black painted gas tank, custom yamaha tuning fork logos, custom headlights with halos, crg bar end mirror, custom license plate, frame sliders, track plastics... etc, etc, etc...

I'll post some pics when I can. I guess you need more than 15 posts on this forum to be able to. (The pics are too large to attach and I don't feel like resizing them). :)

I ride too, however, not as much as I would like to. I don't know, honestly, I love the thrill from it, but at the same time, I'm scared of the whatevers that might happen. I've had my license for 4-5 years now and I still consider myself a newb with my 250 Kawk. Started with a 600FZR. Maybe I'm not into riding that much but want to have it on the side just in case I need to escape from a mob of donuts if the cage doesn't work.

Okay... here are some pics of the bike:

1: the bike
2: track day at Buttonwillow
3: track day at Streets of Willow
4: group ride down PCH

My boyfriend would give his soul to have a gsxr1100. Right now he only has a yamaha yzf600 but I guarantee within the next 3 years he will definately have a gsxr of some sort..I'm not thrilled with bikes..but I'd LOVE to learn how to ride, instead of being the passenger, to save mad gas money!!!!!!! hahah but I have this knowlegde in the back of my mind that I would most likely kill myself =) hahaha

Cool pics crazygirl. Are you on any other forums? I'm with bayarearidersforum but don't post that often there. It's a dream of mine to be ABLE to have a track day.. one day when I get the courage to ride hard but of course, safe.

I want a motorcycle SO badly. For mileage and that windswept look!!

No, we know you just want to race an F14 taking off at the base at Mirimar :)
If you really do want one though I'd recommend you sign up for the two day MSFC classes. Even if you dont have a bike they supply one for you and train you on the basics, and you can see if you like it or not. Plus, it's actually a bit of fun.

hehe, I have a scooter, does that count? It's on it's way out now... only 8 months old, but bad quality :(

I'm looking forward to getting a bigger (this one's 150cc) and better scooter sometime soon :) Oh, and faster (mine's max is 60 mph... on a downhill... if I'm lucky!)

I'm a rider. Own a Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 (for now). Previous bikes: Kawasaki Concours, Suzuki GS1100ES, Suzuki GS1100GL, Moto Guzzi V50II, Honda CB360 Twin, and Bultaco Matador 250.

Getting older now, my wife likes the comfort couch style of bike. I'm guessing the next one will be a full dress touring bike (Harley Road Glide?).

Anyone looking to get into it, Take the course. It's worth the money!!

I have an 05 Aprilia Tuono and an 02 SV650 I use as my commuter. I ride everyday. Couldn't imagine not doing it.
