HELP!

I have recently started my weight loss journey. To start out id like to give you all a little bit of my history. I haven't always been overweight. All throughout secondary school i was a healthy size 12 considering my height at the time of 5 ft 10. I have always been tall and had never had any problems with my weight. At the age of 14 i got in my first serious relationship and as i got more and more comfortable the weight just seemed to pile on. Unfortunately we split just after i had turned 16. I was left heart broken which didn't help as i stayed in a lot of the time and used food as a way to comfort myself. I am now approaching 22 and i am just over 20 stone and a UK dress size 22/24. I have recently decided to start tackling my weight and have joined the gym. I am just finding it so hard to keep myself motivated. I've lost around 5 pounds in the last month, but expected to see much bigger weight loss then this as i am so big. Please can anybody give me any help/advice on keeping yourself motivated and on how to make weight loss my lifestyle.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!

Five pounds is more than what you would've lost if you did nothing at all. Your motivation should be getting back to a happier and healthier you. Yes, it's hard to get there, but I believe you can get there. You probably added lean muscle in the time at your gym, contributing to less weight being dropped scale wise, but more fat being removed -- which is what you want. Muscle weighs more than fat and burns fat quicker. You have to really just want it. Do you want to be feel and look like you do now? Sometimes we aren't ready to make that move, and that is okay, but you have to want it and that means eating properly and working out too.

You just need to set your goals, follow a good nutritional diet plan and use workout programs. Also to stay motivated you should listen to music. I always use GymStream - Free Workout Music on my iphone, uplifting and dynamic music, various playlists, it helps me stay on track.
Good luck !
