Motivation

I can't seem to get motivated to run... I always put it off.. I'll like "ohh I'll do it later. " How do you guys get motivated to run?

What about biking? i can do that because it isn't as difficult to go on a nice bike ride every day....

Here's your motivation: sexy washboard abs, lean cut arms and legs, defined calves and quads from all the running, women checking you out when u have no shirt on and wanting ur sexy body. thats more than enough motivation to get me running. what i do honestly, is i put myself in a state of mind that if i run, at the end of my run ill be ripped out of my mind. during the whole run i think about the fat burning off of my body, and succumbing to my every movement. i see fat as an enemy. running destroys it. kills it. BURNS IT!! MWAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!! JUST DO IT!!!
 
Everyone is right on.

Ask yourself (honestly) right now... "Do I want to improve?" HONESTLY.

If your answer is, "yes." Stop putting it off. Close your web browser, shut down your fat building machine (PC), change into something comfortable, and go run. NOW!

It is truely that simple. Do that everyday... And, don't worry about tomorrow. Don't put it off. Do it now!

Guilt.

Is what you're doing instead of running better for you, improving your health, offering the same bod improvements?

Probably not. Go run.
 
I have three motivators for running:

1)A partner. Having someone else who runs with me makes it all the more important I keep my schedule and commitment, not just to myself, but to my partner. Plus, having someone running with me motivates me to maintain proper speed and go the distance.

2)Self motivation. I really want to look great, and running is helping me see results. I want to see more results, so I keep running.

3)Music. I purchased an MP3 player, it comes with an arm bandso it's comfortable to jog with, and it's flash memory based, so it doesn't skip. I load it up with songs that help motivate me to run.

A fourth possible motivator is one you are using right now: support from a community. A group of like minded people working to lower their bodyfat, increase their lean muscle, boost their health, the worldfitness community.
