My pal ChristinanVA recommended I do this. The challenge isn't really doing it for me this time around.

Today I did an hour of really tough weights and cardio. I'll be sore tomorrow! Unfortunately, the Kidwatch pulled me out in the middle of my workout to change my daughter's diaper so I missed a few minutes. Oh well! (She can poop every other hour all day long! All I ask is for my work-out! You know?) For food, I did ok. I'm starving right now! I did eat some yummy homemade cookies my sis made. I swear she's trying to sabotage my diet!

I've had around 72 oz. of water today.

Tomorrow it's kickboxing - yay!!
 
Good job juggling the kids and exercise. You're doing great Mommyof2. Keep it up!
 
Hey sweetie! I'm so glad you started you a diary! Now I can keep my eye on you! ;) I got your message.. and I know HH and I feel the same way! I guess we will have to post in each others journals.. I dont think Hypo has one yet! We will have to tell her! How old is your hubby today? As far as the sweets.. I really dont know what to tell you! I wish I did.. but I have things around my house like that and I really dont get tempted unless I have some Chocolate covered doughnuts! And usually when I am tempted to have something sweet.. like cookies..lol.. I go grab a sugar free jello! Talk to you tomorrow!! Oh and how is the kickboxing instructor doing? lol...
 
Hey Chris! Thanks for the encouragement, Chris and Ms. JB! Funny you should ask about my Kickboxing instructor. I had class this a.m. and he literally chased someone out the door saying, "Where are you going?" She was probably headed to the bathroom or to get some water. It was her first day, too. Unbelievable! He's nuts. My hubby turned 36: caught up with me! He loves those 3 months when I'm the older woman.

As I said, I had a great work-out today. I adore kickboxing even if my instructor is crazy. I read in a magazine that the movie stars who are given a time limit to be a certain weight for a movie claim Kickboxing as the best form of exercise to get them in shape fast. That was encouraging!

Food-wise, I'm ok. We took the girls out to lunch today since Louis was off work. I ate healthy, but probably a bit much quantity-wise. At this point, I'm thinking I'll be ahead if I end up not gaining anything by the end of the month! No - I'm going to be back on track. At least I'm exercising!
 
Hey Mommy of 2! I see you finally started a diary. :) I promise I will get one started soon. :eek: I have been so busy with school and finals, and now we are trying to get our Christmas shopping done. I am thinking I need a new name though. This one just isn't motivating me like I thought it would, you know.

I am glad to see you are still doing the kickboxing class. It sounds great.
 
Good evening! I wouldn't worry about your quanity of food.. it is ok to go over every once and a while! My biggest problem is when hubby comes home.. all he wants to do is eat out.. and I get off track! anyway.. At least you are exercising and your eating healthy.. Your gonna be slim in no time!! Will check on you tomorrow!

You and your husband sound so cute! One of these days I'll get me one of those, haha.

Your instructor sounds funny. My Sensei was yelling at me last night, "come on, keep going! Dont be last!" I wanted to say, "Come on, can't you see that I'm 40lbs overweight, therefore I'm lifting and moving more weight than anyone here and I'm doing the best I can!" haha. I know he was just trying to pump me up, but geez, you can only hear "don't be last" so many times in an evening. I'm sure all the skinny gals were glad they weren't the rotten egg. I got to the point I didn't even care. I just wanted to keep standing. haha

Keep up the great work. I think I'm going to drop into a kickboxing class at the gym to check it out. You inspired me!
 
Oh yes! Kickboxing is the best! Be careful, though, it's easy to get injured. Have the instructor give a little inservice on how he/she cues the kicks to be on the safe side.
I did Cycle/Spin today. It was ok, but I had a lousy bike. I made the most of it, though and got a decent workout.
Anyone else who works out at a gym a bit concerned about the New Year's Resolution crowds coming up? I was thinking about doing treadmill and machines for the month of January to A. avoid the crowded classes and B. give myself a bit of variety in my work-outs.
Miss JB - are you looking for a man? I see that you're in S. Cal. Where are you? I'm in So. Cal. also - Fullerton. I wish I knew a single man to set you up with, but I don't.
HH - So you want a new name, huh? I'll have to think on that one! How long is your break after finals?
Chris - how are you doing with things? I'm about to check your diary.
 
I don't have to go back to school for a whole month! I am so glad. I have a lot to do though over my break that I haven't had time to do during the semester. We have to finish painting our living room and kitchen (yes, it is half-painted), and I need to fix some tiles in the kitchen that messed up after we laid them last summer. I also have to fix up my resume because I will be needing an updated one next semester. And of course, all of the christmas shopping I still need to do. I feel like I am not actually going to have a break until January.

I am not sure what to tell you about the gym thing. We got a treadclimber so that we didn't have to worry about the crowds ever. :)

Hey sweetie! Just stopping in to see how you did today! I think you should definetly change your routine in January! You will see a big difference.. I know with me I changed my routine a few weeks ago and the first week I dropped a few pounds.. which was great since I lost 1 lb. in 3 weeks there at one time.. But like I said it did help me! I'm sapossed to weigh in at curves tomorrow! That is .. if I can make it there! We had snow and ice this morning and they are calling for more snow tomorrow! So hopefully I can make it there tomorrow or Saturday! I cant wait to see how I did this month! I also cant wait until tomorrow because my husband comes home!! :D
 
Darn! I just tried to post my daughter's web site so you all could see what my kids and I look like, but they seem to have dumped it since we hadn't updated it in awhile. Oh well! I'll just have to post other pics.

I did ok today. I mentioned that I did Cycle. I also had a tiny piece of bday cake - mostly just to get rid of it! But it's gone now. I'm going to a fondue party, but I hate fondue, so i should be A-OK!!
 
Hey there! Just checking in on you! I hope your doing good today.. If not just get back on track tomorrow! OK... a stupid ? .... what exactly is fondue??
 
Hey! Just wanted to check in on you. I see you are MIA today, but I can't complain since I was yesterday. ;) I hope you are still doing well.
 
Thanks HH and Chris! Fondue is those little pots with either melted cheese or chocolate. You use sticks and dip bread/vegies/fruit into the cheese and fruit, cookies, cake into the chocolate. Yum! It was the best fondue I'd ever tried. Considering that, I showed amazing restraint.
Did ok today as well, though no exercise. I was so busy w/ the girls all day, hardly sat down, that should count, no?

Thanks... for explaining that! I have heard of it but was never for sure what it was! I didn't get to exercise today either.. well i for like 2 minutes then the phone rang.. :rolleyes: Oh well.. Tomorrow I will start over!!

I didn't have such a great day. I worked, so no exercise - didn't even chase the girls around since they were at preschool and day care. *sigh*
Did ok food-wise. Avoided some serious temptations. So that's good! Not looking forward to weighing in for the final weigh-in of the challenge.
 
Hey there! I was the opposite today.. I exercised but didn't do all that well on my food.. I think i had around 1900 caleries today! :eek: I dont know what happend.. I'm not looking forward to the final weigh in either! Plus I dont know if everyone on my team is still in the challenge.. they havent' posted for over a week! And one never showed so it is just me and Catesweight so far!
