Sport Mixing Powders - Mad scientists!!!

Sport Fitness
So,
if I am starting this Protein Powder. And I have PowerBar recovery mix (sport drink), can i put them both in the same container for my after workout drink?

the two products I have are:

BodyFortress 100% Premium Whey Protein (protein Powder)

PowerBar Recovry Rebuild Step 3 (carb Protein Blend)- it is a hydration sport drink mix.

And for fun, if there are any nutrition sow off's what can i eat, that does not require a 1/2 to eat that would be the same as these two products?

Is it this item:

The PowerBar Recovery drink is an essential addition to your post-workout nutrition plan. In many sports, the ability to recover from one exercise session to the next is critical to improving performance, and ultimately, success, but athletes tell us that many drinks targeting recovery don't taste good. For post-activity muscle recovery and rehydration, reach for light, refreshing, orange flavored PowerBar Performance Recovery Drink. Its advanced carbohydrate-protein combination speeds muscle glycogen restoration and repair. And a high level of the key electrolyte, sodium, makes it more efficient than water or lower sodium drinks for post-exercise rehydration. Flover: Orange

INGREDIENTS: MALTODEXTRIN, DEXTROSE, FRUCTOSE, WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM CITRATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, MAGNESIUM CITRATE, NATURAL FLAVOR, TURMERIC (AS COLOR), POTASSIUM CITRATE, AND ANNATTO (AS COLOR).

Contains Milk.

Made on equipment that also processes soy and wheat

And, is it this product you are referring to:

23g. protein per serving. 1g. Sugar per serving.

High in protein. Naturally occurring branched chain amino acids perfect for carb-controlled, active lifestyles.

Each serving contains 4g of the following Branched Chain Amino Acids:
Isoleucine 1g, Leucine 2g, Valine 1g.

this product is bodybuilding nutrition with value pricing in mind. Whey is a dairy-based source of amino acids, the building blocks of protein. Whey is the preferred protein source in sports and bodybuilding nutrition because it contains branched chain amino acids - made up of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine - which are important for the maintenance of muscle tissue. Unlike some other incomplete protein sources, whey contains all of the essential amino acids that are required in the diet.

Body Fortress 100%* Premium Whey Protein contains no aspartame and comes in two flavors, Vanilla and Chocolate. Body Fortress 100%* Premium Whey Protein offers a price designed for health-conscious individuals on a budget - without skimping on quality! Mix it in a blender with your favorite fruit, or with milk or water in a shaker for a quick pick-me-up before and after those daily workouts.

No fructose added to this product. Not a low calorie food.

I believe the most important question here is: What is the overal PURPOSE of your diet? (to lose fat weight or--- gain good weight (or have the fat gain to muscle growth ratios be good when bulking)

Because if this is used (for example) in a diet to reduce body fat while trying to maintain the present muscle, the caloric content STILL has to be entered in the equation, and thus entered in the caloric content in a 24 hour diet cycle period.

Therefore the circumference of the caloric intake, with this in it, needs alot of consideration with nutrient aspect ratios. I think the BF has 110c for just the powder, and this wouldnt include the milk cal. One could use water. The other I am unsure on the caloric content. In either case both have to be considered if you plan to take both. One has Fructose (see below): The power bar. Its a dirivitive or native to sugar. I advocate staying way from sugar as the plague---when deficit dieting, this is just my opinion on this.

In my opinion, its not a bad idea, to include a whey powder whether dieting to reduce fat or in bulking, but sometimes the application of protein when dieting to lose fat weight, can be implemented in different ways (even without a whey sup), and yes recovery is always crucial, but so are complex carb intake. My personal preference is getting protein from hard real natural food, and whey supplement being second on the list. (Im not saying whey isnt natural in this sentence). However, there is nothing wrong in suuplementing with Whey powder.

I personally dont like the power bar, FF. Taking whey is fine, of course, and you can get other recovery from good solid foods, and water. Im NOT saying a good recovery drink or powder doesnt exist, nor am I saying that one shouldnt take them, but if you PLAN TO lose fat weight........careful considerations need to be made in its implementation for caloric reasons and other important factors

Now, Dont yell at me for being an old windbag,,,,,,,,,GEESH! :)

Fructose (or levulose) is a simple sugar (monosaccharide) found in many foods and is one of the three most important blood sugars along with glucose and galactose. Honey, tree fruits, berries, melons, and some root vegetables, such as beets, sweet potatoes, parsnips, and onions, contain fructose, usually in combination with sucrose and glucose. Fructose is also derived from the digestion of sucrose, a disaccharide consisting of glucose and fructose that is broken down by glycoside hydrolase enzymes during digestion. Fructose is the sweetest naturally occurring sugar, estimated to be twice as sweet as sucrose.

Fructose is often recommended for, and consumed by, people with diabetes mellitus or hypoglycemia, because it has a very low Glycemic Index (GI) relative to cane sugar (sucrose). However, this benefit is tempered by concern that fructose may have an adverse effect on plasma lipid and uric acid levels, and the resulting higher blood levels of fructose can be damaging to proteins (see below). The low GI is due to the unique and lengthy metabolic pathway of fructose, which involves phosphorylation and a multi-step enzymatic process in the liver. hahaha- yep that's the stuff Boss!

CRAP!!! I got a deal on a whole pallet of the stuff too.

When I shook it up in my shaker and it foamed, I got a lil worried and that's why I asked the question.

guess I'll just make my kids and the neighborkids drink it....hehehehe

EVERY powder you mix in a shaker will foam. you're whipping air into the liquid when you shake it.

NORMAL.
