minerals to prevent cramping

What minerals are good for helping prevent cramping. I have seemed to have some cramps in my calves and feet lately, maybe i am lacking in something.

i do not know what you do, but i know a lil about cramping....

if you are cramping during exersion is is likely sodium, if it is during recovery time is is likey pottasium,, and both need a touch of calcium to work well.

that is based on zero scientific evidence :)

one other thing to suppliment, if you just want to have it covered...

Magnesium - take this one at night. Sleeps real nice too.

thanks guys, i just looked over my multi, it only supplies me with about 20% of the RDA of Magnesium, the other seem to be covered.

Thanks and i'll keep you updated.

agreed - make sure you have the basics covered - ample water intake, supplement with calcium, magnesium, and a good multi. if you can get ahold of these in liquid form, the bio availability is much better than that of a standard tablet, etc..

So i bought a Magnesium supplement that adds 63% of the RDA, if i add the 20% from my Multi, i'm up to 83%. I assume my diet will cover the rest. Should i take the Magnesiun in the morning, night, or half and half?

Thanks

half and half is fine. the magnesium also works as a good sleep aid at bed time.
