Calcium binds to cholestrol and blocks arteries just as bad.

A shame as it's an excellent protein source.

I tend to drink it as much as most people drink flavoured drinks - too much?

Milk and cheese are good sources of calcium, unfortunately they lack magnesium, which is required by the body to utilize the calcium. High dairy consumption has been linked with heart disease, and perhaps surprisingly calcium deficiency.

Reduce your milk and cheese intake, and swap it for low fat cheese, quark, live organic yogurt, soya cheese, and tofu. Try and avoid consuming more than 3 eggs per week, soya flour can be used as a good substitute in some recipes.

I've read sites that you should never drink cow milk. Simply because it was meant to be for a much bigger animal (calf) whose bones are much larger. Additionally, the calf doesn't continue to drink the mother's milk just has we don't continue with our own mothers milk for our whole lives.

Some think that the corporate driven goverments keep this out of mainstream media because of the money it generates and how easily it is to produce cow milk has opposed to goats milk.

Anyway, all the recommendations are pretty normal besides the 3 eggs per week. And low fat milk would be an alternative to no milk.
 
I've read about the calcium overdose problem quite a few times now. I drink low fat skimmed because I like the taste.

I also studied Geology at Uni and suprised to find similar processes creating rocks happening with milk in the body!
 
I don't think milk is all that bad, there are other sources of calcium though and it definitely digests better with magnesium from what I understand. I usually get the majority of my calcium from vegetables.
