Sport Micronutrient Ratio Question

Sport Fitness
Hey guys.. My current situation is as follows; I'm trying to bulk but mainly with lean muscle, I realize that a small portion will be in the form of fat but would like to keep this to a minimum.

I've come across the 40:40:20 (P:C:F) ratio a couple of times now. Does this sound about right? In my mind 40% carbs sounds just a little high (given my situation requirements) Could the carbs be reduced to 30% whilst upping the protein to 50%?

40/40/20 is a general split. Its mostly geared towards weight loss however. For bulking, Maybe you should try 50/30/20 or 60/30/10. Some of the guys who are more into muscle building can give you a more solid answer.

cutting to 10% fat calories on a bulk is a bad idea. Fat supports testosterone production...saturated fat is very anabolic. Fat intake should never drop below 20%, 25% during bulking.

also, P, F, and C are MACROnutrients. A micronutrient would be Iron, or Zinc.
