Sport metabolism

when you eat a meal, and your metabolism raises; is that just a natural thing your body does when it eats? or is the digestion process that raises metabolism, or both?
 
the increase you refer to is likely due to the energy that it takes to digest food.
 
Metabolism = the entire system of changes in the body.

So why do we eat? To give the body something to use to rebuild itself and create energy.

So literally, increased metabolism isn't a side-effect of eating -- think of eating as the first step in the overall metabolic system.
 
what is the easiest, fastest, healthiest way to increase metabolism? suppliments? getting on a normal, healthy diet?
 
Easiest, fastest, and healthiest are never to be used together on these forums ;)

Fastest - pop pills
Healthiest - arguable. Supplements are just food products, and many will raise your metabolism. For long term health, you'll want to increase your metabolism PRIMARILY through exercise and healthy eating, and supplement (help) with nutritional products. The supplements are not necessary, of course.
 
I will just add that taking supps without being on a propper diet is, well... just plain dumb. Take care of your diet first, if you are still not happy with the results, then maybe consider supps as an addition. Just my opinion.
 
i read somewhere (here i think) that water and hot sauce (cayenne or red pepper, cant remember) increase it...a good snack i did to lose weight was roll some crushed red pepper in a piece of lunch meat then add hot sauce...I love spicy foods :p

as much as i love spicy foods, ive heard its a load

yah I must agree. It doesn't increase one's metabolism so significantly as to aid weight loss
