Metabolic Enhancers

I maintain that if used correctly, metabolic enhancers can work very effectively. Back in the day when I was in college, I incorporated Ripped Fuel (the version with ephedra) into my diet and it worked phenominally. It supressed my appetite and helped me trim the fat and tone up nicely (when paired with a workout routine and a quality diet, of course).

Well, now ten years later ephedra is off the market and the same Ripped Fuel product is no longer available. I have tried the Ripped Fuel that is w/out ephedra and am not impressed. I am equally as unimpressed with the Stacker2 products that are also popular.

So, my question is for those that might be using metabolic enhancers (and using them right) what do you use? Its time to get back to the tone guy i used to be.

Thank you!

First off, effedra and effedrine are legal again for now. They are trying to make them illegal again, but can be found online or in local stores pretty easily still.

Also, they aren't exactly a metabolic enhancer. The only thing they really speed up is your heart. Effedrine is just a stimulant of sorts. That's why "non effedrine" products contain CAFFINE and GUAHARA (however you spellit) as their active ingredients. They work the same, but don't have the same effective ness. It raises your heart level, in turn raising your core temp a little, which can make you burn a few extra calories each day. Most of them have appetite suppressants in them too.

I only use a good EC stack when cutting and only for it's energy effects as I am at my weakest when in a caloric deficit.

Well, since you seem to have a little better grasp on the fact that 'fat burners' are useless unless diet and training are already 100% on target...

About the only one I like nowadays is Thermocin by
why?
well, in place of ephedra, they use synephrine. google it, and you'll see that its very similar to ephedra, but not nearly as harsh a stimulant.
in place of Asprin they use white willow bark...natural asprin
and for caffine they use guarana...natural caffine

so, what you end up with is a less harsh ECA-like stack. plus it also has l-tyrosine, which can dip a little low on a severe cut, and leave you mentally drained.

Still, I only recommend them for the last phase of your cut...those last 5 hard to lose pounds.

Thank you for your comments. I am well aware that the "magic pill" doesn't exist. As I suggested before, I have had very good results when using Ripped Fuel with a quality diet and daily excercise. It helped supress my appetite while at the office and also gave me a small burst at the gym.

My issue is finding a quality product, now that Ripped Fuel (as we knew it) is no longer. I actually just read an article that ephedra is back on the market, but manufacturers are limiting the amount they put in their products to cover their butts legally, I'm sure. I understand this, but unfortunately with it were different especially when you consider there are so many people out there that respect their bodies, respect their products, and safely use them the way they are intended (me!!).

I have google'd without much success. What are the products that do indeed have ephedra back on the label?

Thanks guys,

-danno

almost no products in the US have ephedra in them. you buy the ephedra separately. most of the online places need a copy of your drivers' license though, since you can make bathtub meth outta ephedrine based cold meds.

the FDA is trying to get all ephedra over 8mg pulled again...actually I think it goes into effect in November...which is why nobody put it back into their product, and few places bothered to restock on the pure stuff.

which is why in my post I specifically mentioned SYNEPHRINE based stuff, since its legal. Lipo6 uses synephrine, but not as much as Thermocin.

Thanks for your input again. I've seen many with synephedrine and you're right, it seems like a logical choice. I'm just making sure all the "good stuff" is unavailable first!! hehehe:)

All I know is what has worked for me, and the ephedra based stuff really helped me. I presume now its back to trial & error with respect to supplements again.

Thank you!

I don't ever tell someone to take anything, for many reasons, however I do let them know what I take which I have provided below, and have seen good results from.
