Meta-Slim + weight loss.

anyone else tried meta slim?

to be honest i know your all gonna rant and rave about what im doing but, seriously will it be working?

im well aware of the right ways of going about something, just not clear on certain aspects.

i bought this meta slim product the other day. Althought i am drinking lots of water, i have cut down my food intake to around a couple of sandwiches a day.

I am also doing 6 meta slim pills throughout the day, around 2 when i wake, 2 at 1-2pm and another 2 at 4pm, the recommended daily dose is 1-2 pills.

during taking this i can feel my whole body racing, increased breathing and triple heart beat.

but do these pills really work? apart from the mentioned increases.

I really dont think that the ingredients can cause me any damage though, i mean its all natural tea herbs and orange citrus and the such.

another note is that during the night, i am sweating like a wild beast all night, yes these are thermogenic pills, but why am i only sweating like an ape at night and not during the day too?

any advice would be welcome as to more ways to lose the weight too.

i am 6ft 5 and around 220lbs...

cheers.

Hey There!

I couldn't help but think your post was a joke at first. Why would you take 3x the recommended dosage??

Triple heartbeats? Yikes! And all that sweating? I really hope you are not dehyrating yourself and injuring your liver and kidneys, even though you are drinking lots of water.

Just a few minutes ago I was reading this article, and then your post appeared. Heres a piece of it. Be Careful! I'm pretty sure Meta Slim also contains caffiene, which can have the following health risks.

"Diet pills, both over-the-counter and prescription, (as recommended, continuously, or in excess) can cause the following: nervousness, restlessness, insomnia, high blood pressure, fatigue and hyperactivity, heart arrhythmias and palpitations, congestive heart failure or heart attack, stroke, headaches, dry mouth, vomitting and diarrhea or constipation, intestinal disturbances, tightness in chest, tingling in extremities, excessive persperation, dizziness, disruption in mentrual cycle, change in sex drive, hair loss, blurred vision, fever and urinary tract problems. Overdoses can cause tremors, confusion, hallucinations, shallow breathing, renal failure, heart attack and convulsions. "

I would imagine you would lose weight taking that many pills a day, but you might lose more than that.

definitely isnt a joke, i want to lose weight fast, no idea how to do it, but yeah im drinking lots of water, whenever my mouth gets dry,

How much do you think itll take to lose around 40lbs, if i keep this up?

hey

Jonesy, all of us want to loose the wt fast but what we dont realize is we did not put on all that weight in a single day; the pounds were packed on over the years and it will take some time to loose them. You want to loose 40 pounds that will take you 4 months by losing 10 pounds a month eating healthy and excercising; atleast you are not ruining your health; what good is a thinner you going to be if you cannot enjoy your new found wt and are going to be struggling with health problems that could come up by having these pills and triple the recommended dose.

MissJellyBelly post should be an eye opener; you are putting yourself in harms way for things that can be achieved through hardwork and patience. All you need to do is be consistent and work towards your goal.

There is no shortcut to hardwork.Even if you lose wt quickly with these pills you will pack on the pounds back quickly once you stop them; I dont think you plan to be on this pills for all your life....

Think about it

Not sure how long you've been taking these pills, but I would imagine you will see some dramatic initial results because you are going to be losing so much fluid and water. Most likely 70% of the loss you receive the first 3 days will be water loss.

Are you noticing an increase in urination? I would definitely cut back on the pills to the point where you feel normal and your heart isn't palipating.

All I can say is listen to your body. It's already sending you S.O.S. signals.

I hope you are at least drinking 12-15 glasses of water a day at 8oz a glass. You might possibly need more than that. Scarey!!

I'm not actually fat, i just want to be skinny that is all, as i noticed there is a gut forming and the such, and my pants are going up a size.

people say im slim, but i guess its more of a mental thing because i was a beached whale when i was around the 14 mark, and it s till comes back to haunt me,

The warning the other girl put was about ephedrea pills, these are non ephedra.

When i eat now i feel ill, and feel like i urgently need to take an ultimate barry white.

I don't always have to have the last word, honestly!

Hey there! I'm not trying to give you a hard time, really I'm not. People do a lot worse things to their bodies. What you put in your body is your business, but for the sake of other readers who come along and think about trying this, I thought I'd point something out. Diet pills aren't regulated that strictly. People have to often do their own research.

The "warning" I put up earlier was not about ephedrea pills, but diet pills in general. Ephedrea is illegal in the states anyhow, you can't get it.

I was curious to see if your diet pill was truely "risk-free" and all natural as you claimed. I found something interesting. (Not trying to be a ball buster, honestly!)

The GOOD

MetaSlim uses Bitter Orange (Citrus autantium). It is a member of the citrus orange family that supplies synephrine which stimulates fat burning without ephedrine's side effects. Synephrine is considered a safer thermogenic stimulant of fat reduction and it occurs in virtually all citrus products. MetaSlim also contains caffeine, from Yerba mate and green tea extract. Yerba mate and green tea extracts were chosen to provide caffeine because they facilitate weight reduction and are also valued as herbal antioxidants.

The Bad and The Ugly came from a contradicting source:

The BAD

"In 2004, the FDA banned weight loss supplements that contained ephedra, a stimulant that causes stroke and death in some people. But many ephedra-free supplements contain caffeine and citrus aurantium. "There is some sort of interaction, that when the two stimulants are taken together, there is this effect on blood pressure and heart rate," Haller cautioned.

The UGLY

In a recent study, Haller found a single dose of products containing caffeine and citrus aurantium resulted in an increase in heart rate of up to an extra 16 beats per minute, and an increase in blood pressure by up to 12 percent. "It's bad for your heart. It's bad for your kidneys (and) increases you risk of stroke."

Since you are taking 3x the dose, no wonder your heart is going nuts!

so the pills are ok for me then, just not the dose im taking?

itll be reight, there is no inheritance of stroke in my family so i doubt ill gain strokes that quick.

and im only 22 so i doubt ill suffere a big raging heart attack so easily either.

plus the fact that im not actually a beached whale, will mean that my heart should be able to put up with the increased beats as if i was just merely jogging up the garden path at a constant rate as opposed to laid on the sofa.

So i guess in general i am ok.

I just wondered if the pills where good for weight loss moreso than if its bad for me to take so much..

cheers

It's very interesting. You're young, in pretty decent shape, so I would imagine that you aren't going to keel over and kroak. I wouldn't know, not an expert on the subject.

It's not like you are in your 50's and are 800 pounds.

I would think that you will definitely lose weight from the sound of it. Geez, it's like being at the gym while you are sitting down.

"The Good" came from a seperate article than "The Bad and The Ugly" by the way. Just wanted to give you two opinions.

You aren't going to be taking them for long from what it sounds like, you only have a few pounds to lose.

Keep us posted on how it works out. Sounds like you are running circles around yourself.

its more that i want to lose weight, but i dont want to excersise, but i guess thats no way to look at things.

i go on the running machine maybe 15 minutes before i am bored out of my mind and come off.

I just figured exercising wasnt for me. So i looked at other options. I was mostly interested in being able to actually feel comfortable without a shirt on, whenever i needed to be, im a musician mostly, and feel that to be able to play without a shirt on or wear tight clothing i must be a rake.

Otherwise i look like a fat joke trying to pull off an image that i can't

I dont know, i just want a flat chest and to fit into a size 34" waist jeans, i am currently just coming out of a 36 which i am despising beyond belief as these jeans fit me a couple of week ago...

I hear ya, we all want to look our best. You are fortunate in that you don't have much to lose to look great.

I know exercising can be a drag for some, but if it's your mid section and chest you want to look better, you're going to have to do some sit ups and weights. Getting too skinny will just make you look skinny without tone.

Some people are blessed with natural muscles, the rest of us have to build them. The diet pills are a quick fix, but ultimately if you want to really look great with a shirt off, you know what you have to do, and is isn't going to be easy unless you look at exercise as a benefit and not a drag. You can do it!!

For what it's worth, stimulants of any type speed up all the functions in your body, not just metabolism. The result? Your body ages faster - meaning the condition of your skin worsens, your brain function disappears at a younger age, your health and appearance decline faster.

And then there's the bounce effect - when you take a too much of a stimulant, when you stop you'll have the opposite effect - drowsiness, lethargy, weight gain, etc.

If that's not enough to convince you that the speed thing isn't worth it, then maybe dying would? Because that's the real risk. How long would it take, you ask? TOO LONG!!!

i have been using themm.. i am supose to take 5 pills a day....but im only takeing them to help i have been eating rite and exercising and i have lost 10 pounds in a week...so there working for me ..i dont exercise everyday.. just cleaning my house and playing with my son and going for walks.. thats all i do..

I haven't tried Meta but i know about another pill for the same issue. My has tried phentremin pill for loosing weight. He is satisfied. It's a good pill. Mostly people used pills for getting slim but they need to confirm that the pill is real pharmacy or not. There can be side effects also.
