Hi Team! Im starting this challenge at 207.6 pounds... I am feeling alot of water retention, hopefully I can get it off, and some fat! and help the team!!

I overate to get my nutrition in, that deifnitly means I need to get more nutritious foods! I have an appt tomorrow at the gym for a membership!
 
I've been tracking my food via sparkpeople as usual, I know I will get in the 90 min. this week (since it will overlap with another challenge I'm in that focuses mainly on exercise.)

I need to go back and read what the bonus is, is it just tracking food this week?

Does that mean you usually don't eat enough?
 
I never made it to the gym, im kinda worried about the money committment and I know this guy is ready to sign me, Ive got to get my self care tools together before I go see him, possibly sunday! My brother also said I could get a cheaper memberhip at a different gym...

to be honest, I really cant afford a gym at all... eeek!!

yes, im trying to get all my nutrients in, it does help with how I take care of myself... does anyone else use fitday.com?
 
I have had gym memberships in the past and $40 a month is only an investment if you know for sure you will be getting the most out of it. Until that time, you can get plenty of exercise in other ways. I am considring joining again soon, but cant realisticly wont hwppen till the summer when my scheudle eases up.
 
I actually have joined the Y for 3 months. I signed up this week, but didn't go until tonight and worked out with my peep (Bellaryna on here.) I really think I'd get a lot out of it, but it's the distance and gas consumed, that's going to be the killer for me. I guess I have to juggle a few things to get the most out of my 3 months to see if I'm going to keep my membership.
 
Hey you guys. Just found out that blancita bowed out of the challenge. I hope DMR and keepitoff are still in, and just kinda shy on posting. I may end up doing some team shifting to make it fair for everyone, you guys are already down 1 team member.

Yeah, I'm still here just been very busy with University. Workload is killing me, lots of work due in next week. So haven't really done much - sorry guys :s - Going to try getting in to gym this weekend and some time next week in between the crazy schedule.

Every looks like they're going great so far, keep it up! :)

WEEK 2 CHALLENGE HAS BEEN POSTED!


Now that we have started out with being aware of our food intake, its time to emphasize moving and burning them calories!

In addition to your baseline 90 min of exercise per week, you we be awarded this week's bonus points by ADDING an additional 45 min of exercise during week 2. You can add it in anyway you like, (ei: in one workout session, over 2-3 sessions, or a little everyday) as long as you get an EXTRA 45 minutes in this week. This extra exercise need not be formal- it can be the extra steps taken because you park further from the office, or the extra exercise in taking the stairs instead of an elevator, or it can be an extra 15 min on the treadmill .. again, its up to you! As long as they all add up to 45 min, the points are yours.

Give yourself +5 points for adding 45 minutes to your exercise this week.
Give yourself +5 points for "build on" bonus of journaling your food intake.

For a maximum of 10 bonus points this week
 
Hey guys, sorry I am here! I am just nearing the end of a busy surgery rotation. Will be MUCH better in a couple weeks but will try my best to keep you all posted on here. I definitely am checking in to make sure I know what the challenge is so I can follow it....just not posting. Sorry guys, don't worry I am here :)
