meetup in a town near us all?

i know we are all over the place and this is really a shot in the dark but coastergirls and newbrides meeting up got me thinkin maybe we could organize something somewhere in the middle to meet up? any ideas or thoughts?
 
That would be great ... it would be soo fun! But I don't know where we could decide would be middle and it may be hard for some with children, financial issues, jobs ... it would be a blast though! Ooh my gosh =) If there is any way, or even a few of us, that'd be wonderful too !!! Good idea!
 
well i'd probably be able to go somewhere in the late winter or maybe spring and leave my family behind muhamuahaa! should prolly go to a state where a couple people live. isnt there a few in texas?
 
Oprah would be a good bet.... I think.... would you think we should all write to her? or any other show? or should we have ONE spokesperson.... I really think its worth a shot! I am not volunteering or anything :eek:
 
I've been to 2 Springer shows... They are not as good in person as I used to think they were on tv... This was like 9 yrs ago... I wouldn't go to Springer now... not into phony bogus.....
 
Ok girls I think it would be a good plan for the talk show idea. I don't really know how likely it is to get a response or what not but it's worth a try! I think it would probably be good if we each wrote a letter but sent them all together in one envelope. This would show our dedication and support for each other in our own words. However, there could also be a cover letter type thing in case they wouldn't be able to take the time to read the rest of them. If you guys are serious about doing this, I would be willing to be in charge of getting these letters together and sending them out to Oprah and other shows. You girls let me know.
 
you guys are nuts! do you know how hard it is to get on a talk show? let alone even get a response? my past has been good enough for a book so i'm told, and i have written to various talk show hosts over the years, never got one response except when i sent a written letter to oprah several years ago and all i got was an oprah show postcard saying thank you for writing!

I will wirte a letter and send it to you to start off... I will also send you a dollar to help in mailing the big fat folder of letters, once you've got it all put together...

ww....i think we all realize that the chances are extremely low, but what do we have to loose?? Besides a dollar :)

Amanda....on the cover letter, you should write how much weight we've lost as a team
 
... just a note of safety. If you girls do decide to meet somewhere, i suggest finalizing the details through PM (private messaging) ... too many weirdo's out there.
 
Awwww look at our admin looking out for us! What a sweetie! :) Thanks for the reminder champ...my boyfriend went with me when we met hehe and details were done through IM, e-mail and phone. lol

Now as far as the letters go...I'll be more than happy to put them together...just as long as we have people participating :) I know the chances are low too but like korrie said, what do we have to lose other than a dollar...and weight (hehe) I think it's worth a shot...Ok so for details, would you guys just like one sent to Oprah, or other shows as well? I address this now because if letters are going to be written, we don't want to address them to the wrong person lol

Also, obviously we aren't going to be able to involve every single person who joins this forum...so I'm thinking of contacting the regulars and seeing if they would be interested. If anyone needs my address they can PM me or e-mail me for it. Any suggestions or comments you girls have would be greatly appreciated.

That would be Awesome to be able to meet some of you awesome people. Its True that you never know what kinda freaks you can meet online so you gotta be careful. Afterall I did meet my hubby online...Lol. I think it would be awesome. Oprah is our best bet. Afterall whos really gonna come to Branson to see me...LOL.
