Sport Meal Replacement (MRP's and MRS')

Sport Fitness
I've determined that with my schedule it is too hard to come up with healthy meals that I can eat throughout the day while at work. Between not having an actual lunch hour (or even half hour), working a lot of hours and just not having the time to actually cook the meals I feel that it'd be easier to just take meal replacement shakes or powders during the day and eat a healthy dinner at night. So with that being said does anyone currently use them or has anyone had much experience and if so, what brands/types did/do you find to be the most effective? I've seen a lot of talk about the EAS powders/shakes but I'm a little worried because I've heard a few people mention that EAS products are essentially not worth the money, you're just kind of paying for a name. None the less, any suggestions?

Oh and just a quick mention, I'm not looking to gain weight so the lower calorie shakes are what I would be looking at. I'm sitting at around 160lbs right now and want to stay between 155-165 (although when I start working out more I'm looking to make that weight be from lean muscle and not fat. LOL)

Thanks

I have been using the Visalus Body By Vi shake. It is currently the fastest growing weight management program in the country. I was introduced to it by Matt Duvall the former Mr. america and IFBB champ. The website is and it costs me less than a chicken breast for the entire meal!!

replacement shakes are NOT that great. they can be used, but do NOT have more than two per day. period.

unless you like agonizing bowel movements. a thick whey shake with powdered carbs, even with fiber powder added, is NO substitute for fresh veggies, fruits, whole grains, and meat.

It just isn't.

Cook in advance. Use gladware. Make sure your boss isn't violating labor laws by denying you a lunch break (cuz its illegal if you work so many hours a shift)

Malkore, I only plan on taking one on my 2 breaks at lunch just so that I'm getting my essentials during the day because we only get 2 15min breaks a day (I work 7a-3p and end up working over a lot). Because of where I work there are TONS of people and getting to a microwave or even having a decent spot to sit and eat is sometimes difficult. So I plan on getting some VFusion drinks, some MRS/MRP's and then have a good healthy dinner.

Teufel, I've actually seen a lot of the Visalus at stores like The Vitamin Shoppe, etc. and their prices aren't bad at all.

Yup totally affordable and I agree that 2 shakes a day max with a regular meal and 2 snacks is a great way to go. It simplified my meal planning so I could manage to stay with the program and my schedule.

There are a lot of great meal replacement shakes out there. Well at least they claim they are good ;) The one I currently use - and have since October is Shakeology.

Not only does it kill your hunger, it also kills your cravings, raises your energy level so you are not crashing in the evening after an 8-5 job(not a jittery energy), keeps you regular (like most shakes), and will help you lose weight. It provides more than enough daily servings of vegetables, fruit and nutrients. The best part of it all - it does not taste like it should be healthy.

I have a small 15 dollar blender on my desk at work. I take some ice, cup of milk (you can use water too) and a scoop of Shakeology and it taste like, no joke, a chocolate milkshake that you would get at dairy queen. It is extremely good and you can mix anything you want with it too. I put a couple spoon full of Peanut Butter in mine sometimes and it tastes just like a Reece’s Pieces shake. It is awesome and has provided a lot of benefits for me and my family.

Check out that site and do some research on it - I have not found a product to even come close to it. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me anytime.

Shakeology is from Team Beachbody. They offer the popular workouts like P90X and Insanity. I hope this information helps you and others.
