Meal Planner for Runners???

Just curious if anyone has any specific meal plans that they stick to, when trying to lower their weight for running. I'm just looking for something solid to base myself onto. I'm drinking CRAZY amounts of water...sometimes with a twist of lemon, and really just fasting. I've found that that has helped me nicely, but I'm looking again for a healthier lifestyle change. ANY help would be Greatly appreciated!

I don't agree with fasting. Staying off sweets and lower carbs will help you greatly. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables alongside my meals to get me "full." Stay away from bread and cheese, my sister learned that the hard way, she is a cross country runner for notre dame. Anyways, i would make sure to take multi vitamins everyday too. It's just a healthy thing to do. Keep me posted on your progress.

Oh yeah, the food pyramid is a great tool to look at. Many people forget the basics of things in life. Just review it and see how much of certain things you should be eating daily, and what you can cut out to lower your weight. Vitamin supplements will replace what you cut out. If you need to consult a dietician. I personally like to experiment on my own after doing thorough research.

Thanks for your info Leandrofu...I'm really trying the basics at this point. Any websites that you goto to do your research? It's been tough finding any REAL good info. I've definetly stayed away from Any sweets, I'll have to look at the low carb thing. Cheese is one of my downfalls...I just love cheese on everything. (but I do NOT overdo the amount) I've done well on the fasting but have lost alot of my muscle tone. But thanks for the information, and I hope to really be able to slim down. Thanks!

Actually, i'm not sure about any websites all i know is the books my sister gives me. She used to be a crazy diet person.
