Max amount of Protein from Supplements

Is there a maximum amount of protein i should get from supplements alone? I know a variety of proteins is good, but is there any negative side effects to getting a larger portion of them from supplements.

It's hard to get large amounts of protein without going overboard with the carbs or fat, or just flat out eating a whole crap load of egg whites and chicken breast.

I currently have 2 double-scoop ON 100% Whey shakes a day, which is about 96g of protein. Is this too much?

I would definitely not get more than 50% of your protein from shakes...remember, a supplement should SUPPLEMENT your food intake...not be the sole source of food intake, nor the bulk of intake.

Big, beefy dudes...eat a sh*t ton of egg whites and chicken breast. most protein sources contain very little carbs...so i'm not sure how you are afraid of going overboard on carbs by eating a lot of protein. even cottage cheese isn't that carb heavy.

whey powder does not have all the nutrition you need. it digest a little too fast for comfort except post workout meal time.

gastric discomfort, including horrible flattulence, and mud butt in the bathroom are side effects of too much liquid protein intake.
