Massgainer 5000 for breakfast

Just wondering, if I am doing myself any good... I am drinking the protien supplement every morning as breakfast and not actually having cereals or anything... Is it useful? I mean I do feel full but how much of the protien actually gets absorbed? Is it a waste of money or should I just eat cereals for breakfast? Also, is it more useful for me to take this protien before or after workout? Should I take a meal after a workout and just take this before bed?

You should definitely have carbs for breakfast like oatmeal or a good fibrous cereal without added sugar. Having protein with breakfast is always a good thing too, but make sure you get the carbs in.

In terms of workouts, It's best to have some carbs an hour or so before, and have your protein afterwords.
 
Thanks for the reply... so would carbs be mainly from stuff like bread and rice and noodles? I take it chicken and fish and crabs and all that are mainly protien ?
 
grains, fruits, and vegetables. (starches and sugars)
Animal products are typically protein, (meat, eggs, dairy) although some contain carbs or fats (eggs and cheese contain fat, milk contains sugar)
