Weight-Loss March MEASUREMENTS Challenge!!

Since a lot of us who are exercising and eating well don't see results on the scale and sometimes get disheartened, I thought it would be good to do a measurements-based challenge instead of weight challenge. I know measuring can be a pain but for this challenge you need to do three measurements.

March 1: initial measurements
March 15: midway measurements
March 31: final measurements

I challenge you all to take your measurements today and set a goal for cm or inches to be lost by March 31st, 2010.

We'll have only a fortnightly (2 week) check in on March 15th and then the final measurements on the 31st of March.

So, here's the plan... all measurements are to be done at the widest point of that body part.

Upper arm: Right: cm or inches Left: cm or inches

Wrist: Right: cm or inches Left: cm or inches

Upper chest: cm or inches
(with bra on if you're F, this would be your widest point)

Under boobs: cm or inches
(with bra on, measure under your boobs at the smallest point)

Waist (at bellybutton): cm or inches

Hips (at pubic bone): cm or inches

Bum: (at the widest point): cm or inches

Upper leg (at upper thigh): Right: cm or inches L: cm or inches

Calf (at widest point): Right: cm or inches L: cm or inches

I started measuring on January 23rd, 2010 and after measuring today, I have lost 47cm or 18.54inches so far.

My goal for March 31st is a total loss of 15 inches or 38cm!!

I need to swing by the store and grab a tape. This seems like it would be fun! Ill try and get added in before mid-month weigh in. :hurray:
 
This looks good :D I can't really put a goal, i've never really measured much, I've no idea how much i'd lose.

Welcome! I think a good goal for a month would be about 10cm or so if you don't have a lot to lose!

Well, I can't wait to do the midway point measurements on the 15th, that's a week away! Good luck and keep on working out!

You're very welcome to join us in this challenge. There's a lot of pride when you lose inches/cm and not weight because it doesn't fluctuate as much as the scale when measuring your improved shape!

Can't wait to see how we all get on!

Should have remembered that before having my cheat day today! It's mothers dayso that's my excuse. Might push measurements back o the 16th since the meal was fat and salt but soooo gooood!

arms and thighs bigger but that's muscle so I don't mind!!
