Crap - sorry i thought i followed up on this - add it to the long list of things I need to do...

the only people who have the ability to change titles are moderators and admins -a nd moderators can only change their own titles... so if you want your title changed... you gotta ask the admins...

I suck - yup it's true...
 
I've asked... even to h ave it available after a certain post count...

but I'm not the admin - his house -his rules :D

I'll keep nagging -it's a skill i need to use for good...

Don't bother... if admin doesn't want it.... like you said, his house, his rules.
 
That's not a possibility.

If I ran a forum though, I'd give everyone as much freedom as possible. Everyone would also be adults too.

Pretty much, my forum will have no boundaries except with spam and illegal activity.

Why should it?

some boundries are a good thing - check out some forums where people have gone crazy with crap (graphics and other stuff) in their signatures when the signature is longer than the actual post -it's downright irritating.

Color type is also really hard to read as well as are certain fonts.

Guidelines are not a bad thing...
 
Meh.

I like to work under a very hands-off approach.

That said, my forum most likely will not have many boundaries/guidelines at all. We'll let nature play it's course. Natural selection handles the morons.

Act stupidly and expect to be treated as such.

And I don't see a point in prohibiting the use of basic features available through vbulletin. But again, this is why I should just shut up and wait for my forum to be up and running.

Oh, I totally understand. I don't hold anything against you or any of the other mods. Hell, I don't hold anything against the admin even. It's their place and I abide by their rules namely b/c I have to and secondarily b/c I enjoy the community.

I just don't see eye to eye on everything.

And I've never been a fan of boundaries.
 
i have an invitation - long as it hasn't been rescinded..

eh -there's a firefox plug in that turns off all sorts of crap that people think look good on their page -I'll find a plug in that will get rid of all the crap I don't like on forum pages and make me see everything in readable fonts in black and white... :D
