Making a living off Ebay?

How do people do this? Where do they get all their stuff from? The amount of designer gear on ebay is incredible but where does it all come from??? (the real stuff anyway)

Im just interested to know how these people make a living- they cant all be thieves can they?

Some are genuine dealers in things like antiques or whatever - they just use ebay as a platform to sell their goods. Other people scout around car boot sales and even ebay itself for bargains and then re-sell them. If you know your market, there is money to be made without stealing.

I knew a guy who was offered a load of cheap trainers as they were all factory seconds (about 200 pairs) - he sold them all for a £5 profit which made him a clear £1,000 for very little effort. Took him about a month to shift them. I'm sure there are lots of other ways too...

Depends on what you are buying. I'm guessing a lot of the top end clothing is off the back of a lorry... Or if its electronics, it will be imported cheaply from asia.

A man in England claimed he had 2 severely disabled kids and went around all the football clubs getting free signed merchandise for them and sold it all on ebay. he made a rediculous amount of money. then got arrested true story

there was a show on MSNBC that talked about this. some of those ppl are making a killing.

i just started last year. i've only made about 250 dollars and i used 190 of that to buy a trap bar. when it builds up again i'm using it to buy some farmers walk bars. :)

There's a lot of people that get wholesale stuff, antiques, auctions, garage sales, buy stuff on e-bay and resell it, etc...

Like for me, I go to garage sale every weekend... and I check the prices on ebay before I buy things, so then I know how much of a turn-over I'll get... I also buy stuff on e-bay... my parents got me "e-bay for dumbies", and the book said that you should look for stuff ending at weird times of the day for good prices... and so far I have bought and sold over 500 things on ebay... :D
