Magic Bullet Blender

I seen this Magic Bullet Blender on tv awhile back, but Dasha and I just ordered it last week. For 59.99 from Walgreens.com with free shipping I just got a great new Blender/food processor. Our old blender was dying so we opted for this one. It takes up less counter space and comes with all sorts of doohickies.

As for performance, I just threw some flax seeds in it and now I have some great flax meal to use for whenever. Alot of Berardi's recipes use flax meal, so now I can incorporate them for the extra omegas. I would definitely recommend this for anyone.

Sweet! I couldnt guess if I wanted to on how old my blender is! old-fashioned. time for an upgrade.

Mate! The Magi-B is awesome. I got one with all the attachments. Its expensive but worth it, it even crushes ice!

I would marry my Magic Bullet if it was legal in Pennsylvania... i've put together some crazy protein concoctions with that little wonder!

protein PACKED chicken patties (healthy ones, not fried and greasy)
salmon burgers
chocolate peanutbutter banana shakes
etc...

It whips them all up with ease!

I bought it not only for protein shakes but to chop veggies to store, grind nuts like those tiny little flax seeds, and prepare my eggs the night before. This is gonna be a nice little addition to the kitchen.

i bought a knock-off that works just as well from Costco for $35 CDN. If you can't find it, then the Magic-B is definately the way to go.

I buy flax meal (ground flaxseed) directly from the store. Is there any advantage to buying whole seed and grinding it yourself?

I love the meal, I throw it in smoothies, add it to peanut butter sammiches for extra texture/taste, and generally sneak it in any place I can get away with it, so whole vs. ground is a subject I'd like to know more about.

How much do those things hold? I always thought they were small so I wouldn't be able to make a kick-arse protein shake in them  So how many oz can the large container hold?

maybe 10-12 ounces... I can fit 2 scoops of powder, a whole banana, peanut butter, and enough water/milk to make it drinkable... with some room to spare.

get the party mug attachments, and you can have an f'n protein party!

lmao theres party mug attachments? thats too funny. we are gonna have to get that coz we were just talking about the fact that the little "cups" are kinda small.

and to anwser the question about why we decided to grind our own flax seed, its because our food stores dont sell that around here, we harldy found flax seeds by themselves.

the thing is kinda neat though, it does a terrific job at grinding chopping and whatever else.
the recipe book says to throw all your left over in the container and grind em up for your baby to eat...i just thought that was kinda funny...lol.

Like moma said, I couldnt find flax seeds let alone the meal. I assume there wouldnt be a difference, unless in the ingredients there is some type of preservative or something. As far as eating them whole, if thats what you mean, than that is not wise, because the body cannot digest them.

Babe we do have them!

Ohh I love my Magic Bullet and I love the infomercial even more. Ha! But mine is sooooooo loud and it liquifies everything. I know for some recipes I should only "chop" for a couple seconds but sometimes there's chunks of food and if you keep it going any longer everything is like a liquidy paste. Anyone else have that problem?

Yeah the cups are small, But there is a Larger jug you get free with it. I think it only holds just over a pint (not sure cos I smashed mine to bits getting it out the box!)

But its still quicker and less washing up if you do 2 or 3 lots of the small cups compaired to a litre in a massive blender.

lol ok so we ended up having them as tony pointed out...oops i just dont pay attention...but i must say im disappointed in the magic bullet...it doesnt chop very well at all, and what it does "chop" it just merely turns it into mush...so really its not quite a food processor as i had imagined it. :(

Any "wet" type vegetables: carrots, garlic, onions, it does do a poor job. Anybody have any tips? It chops whats on the bottom but the rest shoots into the top of the cup and doesnt come down. It does well for other things I have tried though.

Hey lady, Dont dis the Magi-B!

Who cares if it does not chop very well, It only takes a few seconds to chop a carrot and its less washing up. Save your magic bullet for making salsa, ice cream and drinks.

hey Chuck!
lol we all buy these things for various reasons, i dont have time to stay in the kitchen all day and chop...if u were cooking for Tony ud know how much food needs to be chopped! lol
