Let's just say it is VERY good to be home. Unless you knew the language where I was, you were pretty much lost all the time. There was also A LOT of poverty where I was which made me come back to the states with a new appreciation towards life. Some of us really don't know how good we have it here.
All in all is was an OK trip but next stop for me is Europe. I have no desire to ever visit Mexico again.
poverty.. i was in thailand once, and on a train to bankok, there were people living along the train lines! like half a meter from where the train would be swishing by at high speed! made me rethink stuff too..
All my yank acquantainces had me believeing there was no Mexicans left in Mexico
Welcome back mate. Europe's cool. I'm doing a road trip with my girlfriend this summer. France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Poland etc. etc. I post the pics up when I'm back.
If you can imagine driving from California into Arixona and the language, culture, architecture and forna completely changes you'll get a good idea. The jetlag can be a swine though, even more of a pig if your coming from the West Coast.
