Im a college student that has class sometimes from 8am-9pm and the worst part of those days is bringing food to eat or having energy the day before to fix meals for the next day. My school has terrible food service, and I really need help to figure out easy but healthy and cheap lunches(i have a very limited budget).

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I would make a veggie sandwich...sliced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, low fat provolone cheese, and a little sliced avocado(just a little)..on 100% whole wheat bread, absolutely delicious, and you can buy enough ingredients for about 3-4 days for around 10 bucks...then just pack an apple or an orange...oh oh and another good thing is 100% whole wheat pasta with marinara sauce, garlic, parsley, and a little Parmesan cheese...i only have 1 cup of the cooked pasta with 1/2 cup of sauce..very filling, and you can make enough for about 4 days...

I just realized that you said you go to school from 8am-9pm..so i guess you would need more food, than what i posted..well you could always snack on veggies with low-fat dressing and fruits...believe it or not, they arent as expensive anymore, you can get an entire bag of about 10 carrots for 1.78$ where i shop at..and carrots keep well, so you could pack those with low-fat ranch..100% whole grain rice cakes are good, but not very filling...i eat green apples alot when im on the go..and i just got an entire bag of 14, for 3.50$...i could eat 2 a day for a week! Of course nuts are great to snack on..but are a little pricey....i dont eat much from the middle isles, but maybe you could find a really good brand of granola bars, just read the label....and i bought my boyfriend a little lunch box with ice packs for when hes at work, and his food keeps really well..so maybe you can buy a little lunch box, so you can pack fresh things, instead of eating packaged all day...
