I've tried the diary thing before with different programs I've tried. I don't know if it will help me but I will try. I started back on my diet and exercise last week, and it was going well. I've beaten the cravings, most of the time. :eek: I'm having trouble with drinking so much water, I tend to retain a lot of water. I've tried to slowly increase my water intake. This weekend went well until today when my family went to a buffet for my Grandma's birthday. I ate alot of salad, veggie soup and fruit to try and avoid the other stuff. I've also signed up to join the club on Wed. I just wanted to say thanks for all of your help so far, it has really helped.

something that helped me immensley as I started a diary here was posting the food I was eating and how much of it - I'm not a nutritionist, and it was the first time I had really been paying attention to the food I ate. It was great to have people comment and give some suggestions as to my diet, because otherwise I would have continued making mistakes and not known it. I feel so much healthier and energetic now =) I wish you the best of luck!!!
 
I agree, it is hard to get that water intake. But it keeps you feeling full, and you'll eat less. Alot of us carry a big water jug or bottle around and sip at it all day. Some add lemon to their water if your not too big of a fan of reg water. Whatever floats your boat, or your tummy in this case I guess!
 
I have a cup that holds about two 8oz of water plus ice...I cut a slice of lemon to put in there......when I walk and go to the gym I carry a water bottle that hold 24 oz.....I have to have that all gone by the time I get home.....
Also something I do to help with my water intake is I have some picante sauce( as hot as you can eat) with some fat free crackers..or baked chips.....believe me you are gonna want to down that water

Ok anyway....5 pounds huh? We can do that no problem! How are things going on your end? Be sure to keep us updated on your progress. Or any problems or great things happening along the way. :D
